The fact that she was 47 years old here and at her absolute prime even with how the industry was trying to snub her because of her age. The Confessions era has always been my favorite along with Bedtimes Stories.
God, I am still in love with this era. The look, the sound, the tour... Everything was just perfect.

I hope she pushes the boundaries even more, so women's careers/appeal doesn't stop at a certain age. It's all perspective. Men have a longer run at this and it needs to change. I say go for it. Someone has to blaze a trail. Why should a women in her 60s disappear and stay at home? :)
@@heybejaybe809 nobody said she should disappear. We just like this era of Madonna. I personally would like her to be like this again. She has to many young people on her team now. Everyone ages and she was doing it well until about 4 years ago. She doesn't even look the same. Face-lifts haven't helped her. I would say her fans of many years prefer her to be natural fun loving Madge. I would and I've been a fan since the middle 80s. She always kicked ass and didn't give a crap what others thought of her. I don't see that anymore. There's plenty of other women who have stayed true to themselves and have long careers. It's not a man vs woman thing. I'm not a man either. It's making the right choices in your career.
@@wyomingadventures Madonna is fine with the choices she made, and I do hope that whatever choices we will make, we will all end up as happy as she is today when we’re her age. She’s always been doing her thing the way she wants to and that’s perfectly fine. I heard tones of interviews during the promotion of her last album and I thought she she was smart and beautiful even with her eye-patch on.

I agree. Ray Of Light and Confessions was an incredible era. Her Magnum Opus. After that it just all went so strange for her and lately she just seems to be so off. The filters, the strange crowds she associates with, the surgery. She's the antithesis of the composed woman we see in this interview.
I met Madonna a week before this interview. I spent a few hours with her deejaying Lola's Birthday Party. This is the Madonna I met and spent time with. Well manner, polite, friendly and quite down to earth like we see in this interview. She was lovely to me. We talked about Music and we clicked. The next day her then manager Angela Becker called me. Loved her confessions period looks and sound. Look how tiny she looks in this video. During her Kabbalah years I found her to be far more grounded and less diva like. I've met her 5 times so far and she's alot smaller in real life. Thank you Dan K. for upload and sharing this raw footage. Viva MADONNA !
Cool story, yes she is petite, I've seen her a few times and we are the same height and size. A friend let me wear one of the jackets she wore on The Blonde Ambition tour. Our birthday is exactly 2 weeks apart but she is 11 years older. Someone that knows her mistook me for her when we first met he said it was because of our size and energy.

It's totally weird seeing Madonna now she's has looked so young for so long and now it's like okay she looks over 60 and acts crazy. I think the being in the "Industry" for so long has made INSANE.

Look at her first documenty or honest interview. Pretty much very consistant manurism speach pretty consistant. And prime? I saw a few clips of her on stage 2023 still doing a performance like mmany before it. She is doing very well in her never ending prime! Its not over yet. Lets be teal. Its only over when its over.

Her face when Trump was mentioned. 😂. She looks and always has looked beautiful, even now. I do think she's too thin here though. She had obviously restricted herself so much throughout her career with her diet and exercise regime. It's nice to see her with some little more weight on her now, being in her 60's it's good for her and will stand to her. She obviously has a great dietician who has recommended she relaxes and eats more. I'm proud of her for going that way because there are way too many women of her age, famous or not who convince themselves that being stick thin makes them beautiful. She's on it and always has been. As far as other comments that say she's more natural here in the interview, she is because she's relaxed and has been in so many others. The public will never know madonna through any interview because that's what she has always done since her early career. She keeps her private self to herself and I respect her for that. Thanks for sharing this interview. It was lovely to see. X

The Interviewer was preoccupied with getting through a list of questions rather than taking time to establish a connection with the person in front of him.
I like Madonna look this period of time and way she expresses herself I liked confessions on dance floor album she looked good and not plastic like she does now , think plastic surgery when do to much doesn't look good , it's rubbish that we age but I think to much plastic does not look attractive and all for looking young but when spoil your face with it, I feel it's a shame. Some untruths in the interview:
1. The only track was inspired by someone else's music was hung up🙅♂️
Truth: get together was inspired by "music sounds better with you".
Sorry opening was definitely taken from "can you feel it".
And Future lovers was taken from "I feel love" by Donna summer.
2. "I'm a big fan of abba".
Truth: she said she doesn't like the band a few years earlier.
3. "I didn't planned to make a record".
Truth: she did. Especially after not hitting the charts with american life, which she wanted to accomplish with COADF cd.
She said she didn't like Abba in a 1992 swedish tv interview.
Jump pays hommage unintentionally to West End Girls
A lot of the sampling in the album we're really Stuart's execution and ideas including pursuing the rights to Abba. Most of his early stuff and remixes reflected so much late 70s to early 80's dance music. So Madonna jumping into Abba wasn't a life long dream, it was Stuart's. So on Madonna's defense, she was mostly following his lead on production and thought of the big decisions for the final mix. any of the influences on other tracks that wasn't part of her PR, Stuart has more knowledge of it on finer detail. If Stuart was on her side at this time, I'm pretty sure her answers would've been a bit different because he did most of the edge work on the final mixes.
I alwAys Heard she loved Abba .u have some covers of hers from the group she says have inspired her so much .for exemple Like an Ángel passing through my roon . Really very nice cover though not so good as the Abba singby frida

I will say this,many of my affirmations and wisdom came from listening to her music, devil wouldn't recognized you, I was able to move on after a toxic relationship, 4 minutes..the road to hell is paved with good intentions, pay attention to my actions, human nature, no regrets, all my experiences made me who I am and to regret anything would mean there's a part of me I don't like,absolutely not. Devil's prey,getting off drugs and alcohol, there toxic for the mind and body, I could go on and on, I made my point so no need to, listen and think about what she is saying you will find something relative to your life in every song.

I don't agree Leonardo, my accent has changed throughout my life because I've lived in different areas,when I was at boarding school in Kentucky I picked up their accent, my friends from NY, I spoke like them,I'm from Socal and I speak like a valley girl, now I have a accent that changes all the time, also my attitude had changed the older I get,it's called maturity. Why do people scrutinize her so much, to me she's the best artist around, she's been around 40 years, what other artist can say that.

I love the little glances of Madonna just being her normal self and not this larger than life persona she carries through all of her "incarnations", of course it's part of what makes her legendary, but those little moments of humanity are quite lovely and what i'd look for the most as an interviewer, those glances of that girl from Detroit 💖

Confession Era, she looked sweet and happy before midlife crisis and divorce. In her recent albums, she tried to look young and everything was messed up. Sadly, she relied on painkillers and antidepressants in her old age.
It’s interesting when the interviewer asks her about songs that defined her career and she can’t think of one That’s always been her strength, she never looks back, always looks forward. She never really dwelt on her past success, always looked at how what she was going to accomplish next
For her to be so Considerate to an interviewer is a testament to who this guy is.

It’s actually a little thing called “age”, you may not of heard of it, but it happens to all of us. You didn’t expect Madonna to always look and sound like she did in 2005, in 2021 did you? I’d be lying if I said she doesn’t look better in this interview, but I think it’s unfair to say “she’s drugged up” and such, when you don’t know anything.
My mom was a professional ballet dancer & after age 35 it is incredibly tough on the body. I'm surprised that Madonna was able to perform at the level that she did & for as long as she did without having her body rebel on her. I hope that she gets better soon, I can tell that she's really struggling :(

Her obsession with wearing crowns on any occasion is ridiculous, her queen story drives her crazy. she needs to take herself less seriously, stopping drug and alcohol would be also a great idea!

watching this it seems ridiculous how she's changed. in a way there's a devolution back to early Madonna now. something must have upset her in a a deep way somewhere during the last ten years, even in her Stern interview 2015 she seemed quite relaxed for the most part but you could feel some sort of twisted personality creeping in already. I don't think it's all about the age, she could've easily looked like the Evita character now and still be great

I found out after the album was released that she was recording it down the road from where I was living in Kilburn Park London when I first moved there in 2005. I was absolutely livid when I saw pictures of her going in and out of stewarts house in glasses and a cap, she was prob next to me in the local shop and I didn't even realise 😂😂 Needless to say this eara was like a bomb dropping xx
