About the IDOL perfromance. The blue and red in the beggining represent the colors of Korean flag. J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook - all those dances are very traditional Korean dances, goes back to longlong time ago. There are plenty of references to Korean traditional culture in the performance (also the music video has lots of elements hidden in it). As someone said, they are all wearing Hanboks, Korean traditional clothing. Actually BTS made hanbok to become more mainstream again and regain the popularity among younger generations. When I was in exchange in Korea, our Korean culture class had one group project topic completely dedicated to BTS. We showed the intro of the IDOL performance and even the professor was blown away by it. And the amount of things related to Korean culture they had in it and how they made it known to the whole world. Just wanted to share this! Thanks for a great reaction again! :)
Just to answer a couple of your questions before I forget (I’m still watching 😂😂) - yes, Hobi and Jimin are the two main dancers, the ones with the most training and experience - I hesitate to say the most talented as all of them have become really good dancers, and Jungkook these days is virtually as good in his own way (he has a different style, and Hobi and Jimin are very different from each other too), and Tae is also exceptional 🤷♂️🙏 Korean traditional clothing is called Hanbok. BTS often reference Korean culture in some way in their songs and performances, they never forget who they are or where they come from. 💜
The 3 outside of the dance line have improved so much too throughout the years. I feel like especially SUGA has gotten a big boost post-surgery like we can see in his Haegum dance choreo.
Each person has a style that fits them, that is one of reason that BTS is different, their is a wide range of styles and they can touch upon the person and style that fit the song - no question Black Swan is Jimin style (a nod to Martha Graham), but Jin style of more comical fits Spin Breaker (yes he made the dance), the hard hip hop of Hopi, or the more pop of Jungkook (nod to MJ) - the group can do so many styles and feature the member that goes best with that style is what make them outstanding artists. More important is that none of the member is jealous of the other, instead they celebrate each person.

You mentioned the song IDOL should be for a world cup national anthem...you may not be aware but JK's song DREAMER'S was the 2022 FIFA World Cup anthem. JK was the opening ceremony performer. The fake love (or Love Yourself) era! Yay! There are a bunch of songs that tell different sides to this story. I think Singularity is part of this era and The Truth Untold and Epiphany. There is also another version of Fake Love at the MAMAs that year, I think.

LY (Love Yourself) series is the era where I was so obsessed with all the lyrics. I even searched and dug up all the interpretations I could find on the internet. Especially LY: Tear. Although I've known BTS since their debut and liked them right away, I really fell in love with them since HYYH 2015, after I started digging into their song lyrics and try to find out the background of the writing of the lyrics. The power of these lyrics is one of the things that made me fall harder in love with BTS.
Of course you can choose a favorite, we call them "BIAS" and you can have more than one BIAS too and that doesn't mean you don't like the rest of the guys. There are those of us who are OT7 and we are those who like and support the 7 equally 💜
The first time when I saw this performance, and they do the foot smack against the floor on "Love you so bad" got me so startled, I was scared for the poor floor it might break🤣 they really put alot of effort in every bit of it

Jimin had extensive dance training from a young age, including ballet. I trained in classical ballet for years. I think it is a ridiculous art form, but it is the best training for any dancer. Jimin is also a black belt in Judo, and high ranked in other martial arts which brings an extra precision to his dancing. BigHit sent Jungkook to the west coast of America for six months of dance training, including ballet. J-Hope was an award winning Hip Hop dancer before joining BigHit. He is the Dance Master (very strict during practice) and also creates some of the choreography. Suga joined BigHit as a song writer and producer and was promised he would never have to dance or sing. Oh, well. He is almost always in the back line and his voice is often distorted when he sings. And he still complains about BigHit breaking their promise to him. RM seems to be okay with the singing and dancing, but he's almost always in the back line for dancing but wow! His voice training worked! I love his deep vocals. Jin didn't sing when he joined BigHit and has had extensive vocal training. I think he has the widest range and most stable voice of any of the other singers. (My opinion only. I don't know much about singing) He didn't dance when he came to BigHit but he's good now, but still spends a lot of time in the back dance line.

No that is korean ages so RM is 1 to 2 years younger than 25 korean age, so 23-24 in western age. Do you like how they use video footage whilst they change costumes. A BTS audience always has something to look at. The kimono like thing is a HANBOK if you want to look them up.
I get that loud crowd can be exhausting, claustrophobic and Intimidating. Perhaps you can’t even hear the stage with all that loud noise. In my heart I want to see them live. But I cannot handle large crowds and the exhaustion of travel and getting into the venue. I’m ARMY since 2015 and a 69 yo grandmother. My dream was to be able to go to their concert. Just one at least. However I don’t think that will happen.

oh you didn't use the original video, it's always best to especially if it's from BTS's youtube (yes i am aware this isn't i'm just advising for the future). I very much do appreciate translators when they're genuine and haven't just copies someone else's work (yes there are yt channels that are just ripping off others and one of them had a massive following) i'll leave it up to you whether you pay that any mind.
