    Just received the Ooni Pro 16 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven for my birthday, and I have to say that I'm super excited to get started! The thing is though that I really want to do my best to keep the oven clean and use it for as long as possible. My main concern is the stone and its cleaning. So basically should I scrape it down and turn it around after every use?

    • @Oonihq
      @Oonihq  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We can't wait for you to get to cooking with your Ooni Pro! Please note that it is completely normal for your stone to change colour over time. This is a sign that you're getting plenty of use out of your Ooni! If there are any stubborn stains, allow your oven to burn on high heat for 30 minutes after your last pizza. For super stubborn stains, you can use an Oven Brush to gently wipe away any leftover soot and debris. Please allow your oven to cool completely before attempting to clean your stone's surface. You can also flip your stone after each use to have a cleaner cooking surface for your next pizza cook! 🍕

    When will there be a new model release? A Karu 16 or even a new Pro? Still waiting to buy one because I think it's gonna be the new one is gonna be big en wood fired

    Wonderfully done video, nice information.
    There are other videos comparing wood burn to gas burn, and comparative cooking. They're nice, but I would like to see this guy doing one such video.

    Just fired my ooni pro 16 up. Making 1st pizzas July 4th. Wish I would have known about the Kayru 16 that does everything this one does and has a nicer front door- I would have waited. Bought Ooni pro last November and then was wait-listed until it arrived in April.

    Can you elaborate why you use the open face instead of the door while using gas? I've always used the door with no problems while cooking with gas, and prefer to have the wider opening when loading bigger pizzas.

    • @Oonihq
      @Oonihq  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! The Ooni Pro Gas Burner should be used with the Pizza Door to ensure proper airflow. The Gas Burner has a flame safety device built in to shut off the gas in the event that the flame is extinguished to prevent dangerous gas build ups. Using the pizza door allows any excess gas to dissipate safely. We hope that helps, but if you have any further questions, please reach out to us at support.ooni.com 😊

    Now we're talking, I like this larger size oven just need to find a wood source. This could very well be the better option than a stone/brick oven for my home.
    Three questions.
    1. Max shipping weight via USPS was 70 lbs last time I checked. Is there a way to get this broken down into 2 boxes to reach the 70 lbs limit?
    2. Do you have a video about using this to cook other foods like steak and other stuff. I've watched videos from those with the larger brick ovens and they use pans or grills above the stone. Would like to see your presentation on doing that as well.
    3. Do you ship direct to APO/FPO/DPO addresses via USPS?
    Thanks!

    • @Oonihq
      @Oonihq  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for your interest in our Pro! Because our main oven component is shipped in one parcel, we unfortunately cannot divide this into two separate boxes. We're sorry about that! We have had some issues shipping directly to APO/DPO addresses via USPS, as certain parcels are too large for USPS to deliver to these types of addresses. However, if you'd like to discuss some alternative methods, please feel free to contact our Support Team at support.ooni.com. We'd be happy to help you out there!
      We absolutely love cooking steaks and other delicious recipes in our ovens. If you'd like to check out how to achieve the perfect medium-rare steak in our oven, please check out our video here: th-cam.com/video/Wf0h3FNrtPw/w-d-xo.html

    Just received my ooni pro. Wondering when to close or open the air vent on the oven. Not the baffle on the chimney, but the baffle that is at the entry of the chimney that you adjust from inside the oven. You spin it to open or close it once the oven is hot it is almost too hot to change even with the he ooni gloves. Thank you. Also- great tip to flip the pizza stones for cleaning. Thx

    Is there any chance of ceramic fibers insulation escaping thus contaminating the food if stainless steel housing slightly wraps over time?

    • @Oonihq
      @Oonihq  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Robert! It is incredibly uncommon to notice breached insulation if your oven warps slightly as a consequence of your oven's extreme temperatures. If you are currently using one of our ovens and have concerns about exposed insulation, please contact our Support Team at support.ooni.com and include your original order number, oven serial number, and a few photos of your oven's internal components. If there is a rare issue, we will be more than happy to sort this out for you!

    Is it reasonable to think that you will go back and forth between using gas sometimes and then switching to wood other times? Or does it make sense to make the commitment to wood or gas at the outset and just buy accordingly?

    • @Oonihq
      @Oonihq  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have 5 different pizza ovens to suit varied fuel and size preferences plus cooking needs. Most people tend to go for a particular model because of the fuel (either gas, wood pellets, wood pieces/kindling or charcoal) or the model size.
      Some prefer to cook with wood for a more authentic Neapolitan feel, whereas others prefer the convenience of cooking with gas! Some people want the option of both. It's entirely down to personal preference but all ovens make delicious homemade pizza!
      Check out our pizza oven comparison page to help guide you :) ooni.com/pages/oven-comparison

    When cooking with wood, does the chimney baffle remain open?

    • @mikeh6006
      @mikeh6006 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, for maximum oxygen and air flow which will mean higher temps. If you want to lower the flame and temp close the baffle. Don’t forget gloves :)

    Hi @ooni team. Just got my koda 16 and made my first pies. And I messed up. After the pie was in for maybe 2 minutes I went to slide the peel under to give it a turn but it ended up sticking and basically through the dough/sauce/cheese to the back and on the burners. UGH. Any suggestions for my second attempt. Not 100% sure where I went wrong.
