How did you like this brand’s jackfruit? The sauce tasted great however, I didn’t like it. I made this dish a few years ago with the same jackfruit and the flavor of the jackfruit was more “fruity”. Ruined the taste. I didn’t expect it to have that slightly sweet taste. Did you have that same issue with your dish?

it's also best to parboil the "young jackfruit" for 10-15mins to get rid of the "canned taste". I like to parboil mine in veggie broth prior to cooking.

i actually didn't i used the green jackfruit and it came out exactly how i wanted it to!!
You have to make sure it says green or young because one of them are sweet for sweet dishes.
