One skate in and truthfully not bad at all. Looking forward to breaking them in. I Had to replace a pair of old CCM UL12s and was completely comfortable paying up for 2nd tier Bauer or CCM Jet Speeds. The rep told me that I need to look at the True Hzrdus 7x. He said it is a sleeper. The fit is the same as the 9X. Worth the look.
TF9s are outstanding skates, incredible edge feel, I’m sure those will be really good too. I’m not so keen on the bright graphics, but True skates could be bright yellow with green spots and I’d still buy them.
@@ice.warehouse I’ve only just bought TF9s, don’t tempt me please. Anyway I’ll probably buy some on discount in a few years time. I am a good skater, mediocre player, fairly light. I love doing edge drills e.g. powerpulls, in general skating. Would you recommend Catalyst or Hzrdus? Or would it not really matter?

Second skate. Wow they feel great. I did have to tighten them down. Switching to waxed laces for skate 3.
5 months in and great skates. They were completely broken in after about 6 skates. I skate 1-2x per week. Easy slip on/off. Definitely worth the look!
@@0dark35 I replaced Bauer Custom 2S Pro with TF9. A huge upgrade. Much more edge control, better balance.
they feel very stiff at first but other than that very good
Agreed! What skates were you coming from before these?
Chase at IW Hockey

Wait until you see the new Catalyst skates this year, the blacked out graphics are killer!

Is it the same composite as the 9X? Seems to be the sweet spot if so between stiffness and price.
No it’s different
I think composite is slightly different and the tongue is a slight step down. In general they are the same skate imho.
It's not carbon fiber it is fiberglass the 9 and the pro are the only carbon fiber skate
