hi, uhm so i just started rise of nations and when i want to attack i have to go in a straight line and then after they get to their destination i click them again and move them. How do i make the line curve like a full course instead of going one by one?
I actually used similar tactics when a German player started invading me (swiss w/ neutrality policy), altho he had around 750K-1M total (i was allied with france) invading both me and france, he focused literally 500k on me, going the smart way and leaving tanks to france. Luckily for me i gambled a 12-22% defense general since i only had around 50k troops (mainly focused on growing my economy), he ended up taking everything but Geneva and the cities nearest to it (i needed to buy some time by scorching my nearest cities, reducing his force to around 450k). Then he immediately rushed my troops with his infantry (he didnt have planes). Once he started losing a shiddon of troops he made the amateur move of sending a 1000 strong tank force to me (he didnt know i had the entire anti-tank tree unlocked for occasions like this), to which i immediately demolished his force, after this i started growing my a force of about 20k and immediately capitalsniped him, he ended up whitepeacing me to which i gladly accepted (i knew i couldnt win a long war with the dud)
i have 15 million manpower. How do you do it?!?!?1 Well first, I used code 900KTOYS, i selected the Defense category and i easily flew through the levels by using counter stratedgies. Oh my god! I didnt even know it was a code, And i selected the poopoo category and was getting destroyed!
Bro I fought a war with Russia as Switzerland and fortified pretty much all of my cities, drained his mp, and almost reached Moscow, he left and then someone white peaced one of his allies and got nothing
One note you forgot to mention: Naval units can also act as anti aircraft, making them even more useful if you are playing as an island nation or just if you are defending in general against air attacks.
Got 2 forts 1 in my capital and 1 in the mountains in Norway and entrenched all i could in them and got some subs and i defended against uk france and Canada today, ended up white peacing me with my 250k losses vs their 1m
On blitzkreig, dont use all your forces. If the enemy entrenches, they WILL counter attack after they kill your troops. You dont wanna be stuck with no troops during a counter attack
I was playing as slovenia, got invaded by italy immediately before i could prepare enough defenses, took troops to cyprus and chilled there for 12 years lmao
You should have mentioned first strikes, it requires submarines and fighters, you basically rush their fleet and air force before they can react, leaving them crippled for a short period, which is all it takes
Funny story: I remember I was able to repel america attacking me (i was mexico), i just used bombers and artillery, with some 2M troops, i defended important cities, and after that, i invaded the entirety of the USA guy, the explanation is just very, VERY simplified, but yeah, i also did this 2 times after that, btw, i was randomly thinking of a way to defend, and it worked the first time.. if you want the numbers in that battle i had and also (these are rough estimates of what i had) Me: 2M Infantry, 2 bombers (i am not joking), and like 500 to 1000 artillery. The Guy i was fighting: 10M Infantry (most on the canadian border) and around 10k Tanks(again on the canadian border) to be fair idk how i won, but i won, but sadly i was to excited to document it and now prob no one will ever believe me lol
Another FUNNY story: i joined a server as turkey, little as i know, someone was attacking me, instead of leaving, i fought, i basically used the same tactics as mentioned above, but with alot more artillery. If you want the numbers, its going to be very very rough estimates, and i am using all of my brain power to remember. Me again: around 2-3M Infantry, 1000-1500 Artillery, 6 Fighter Jets with 4 Bombers, and 1k tanks The guy i was being invaded: 5-6M Infantry, 6 Fighter Jets, 5-8k Tanks and 500 Anti Aircraft it destroyed the country but i was happy that i was able to fend another attack. just to clarify, i wasnt able to win but, i was able to peace him out, which is good enough.
As Greece, I lost a war to another nation, that took half my territory, and eventually turkey ate them and then me and my alliance declared war on Russia, and turkey was allied, and so I got invaded, and as I got invaded I lost most of my nation, as entrenchment and forts don’t help when you have 800 times less troops, but I had one major base fort thing, so I took out his army, and then he sent like 20 million troops through the water, which ALL died from my submarines lmao, and eventually I not only won the war, but gained back my territory lol
One time i was italy and i abused the mountains against france,i put artillery and infantry on the cities behind the mountains and basically the french were torn to shreds.
I usually send a bait unit to distract the enemy, then rush them with tanks, infantry, and artillery (depending on the biome). I also make sure they are trained. It works like 80% of the time.

Depends on your enemy's terrain. if they have mountains then you should use infantry, but if they're flat, I recommend tanks. And for a defensive position you can mix them
I recked a Poland player as Hungary he wanted to “liberate” me by annexing me which makes no sense but luckily infantry research came in clutch and i wiped out 700k polish troops with 200k hungarian troops

What can I do against fully fortified country. They have Anti-Air and Artillery, stacked tanks with troops in a forted city. I usually plays as minor powrs and go against other minors. I usually met these situations and I can’t do anything. Sometimes, I am rich and I can afford AC as a normal tier country (Thailand), but I think it must be some other ways to do it.
Airforce? Who needs that when you got the sea filled with shit tons of ships lol. Also the opponent wouldnt dare sending their Airforce into a stacked navy with carrier sitting ready to kill. The only usefull thing about Airforce is just fighters for homeland defense.
Today I played USA and got a pretty big navy. But in order to defeat my enemy, European union I had to transport troops over the Atlantic and since he had home advantage and arty. I couldn’t do much and so it went to stalemate and we whitepeaced. I still got laughed at the entire rest of the game though.
aircraft carriers need 2 fleets one the defense fleet and the protection fleet incase of a suprise attack you never want your ac in the middle of the fight its a support naval ship to help so you need an attack fleet and then a kinda smaller navy fleet to protect it frigates are very hepful with it usually destroyers and submarines protect it with frigates but if your aircraft carrier is in the battle directly its screwed so you half to fund a fleet then maybe that fleet split in half with frigates usually i do 10 battleshiops 15 frigates 20 submarines 15 destroyers 1 ac for the ac protection i use 3 battle ship 5 frigate 10 submarines 5 destroyer that you use to protect carrier fleet right by it but the rest is to protect around it to stop attack on ac but if attack on ac is made that is supposed to keep alive but if not good idc is good

The reason for the ACs huge range is probably bc it would be carrying bombers that would do those raids at a farther range then a gun on a battleship

Just take all the cities without stacked tanks & troops in them?
Nvm use aircraft carriers to attack them from distance
Spam artilery back at them. Once the AA goes down, send in enough planes to blot out the sun.

im georgia and i tried invading russia twice, they started invading me on the first war and failed lost 1m losses (russia and kazakhstan) and second one i tried invading azerbaijan colonized kazakhstan or now central asian union and it took sooooooo long to end the war but somehow i got captured but i only lost about 4m and they lost over 19M losses💀💀
