I don’t know but maybe if they had of brought genes in from what we as carp anglers call true leather carp a complete scaleless king carp would they have been able to crack complete scale removal just throwing it out there they are rare beasts but there are breeders of king carp in uk that have to effected this

Doitsu literally means 'German' in Japanese. German carps are in German 'Deutsche Karpf'. The Japanese simply translitered it from German/Germany where the mirror carps were imported from.
