    Thanks Jamie, makes me feel tempted to give Cubasis a try and take a break from Logic for a while...

      Well it does have many plusses over logic but then in return, logic has many advantages too. Personally, I prefer the “feel” of Cubasis 3. The layout of it is more logical and user friendly to me. But then I’m a Cubase fanboy and I never liked GarageBand much 😂

      @@JamieMallender my love towards logic slowly fades as it's ridiculous how often it crashes recently on my pro M2... For sure it's my fault as well as I stack one auv3 after another and my recent projects were heavy, but still... I had to finalize two tracks as they were because it got to a point where I simply couldn't do anything, even opening a project was a struggle and then it kept crashing after few seconds. I noticed that I cannot trust logic too, sometimes it forgets an instrument while exporting a song, sometimes it forgets to pan or automate the way I programmed... things like this must be a given and I think I'll start my new ideas in Cubasis. Your input is even more encouraging to make a switch, thank you

      @@matprokowski I think that in Logic Pro For iPad at the moment, it is essential to keep printing your AUV3 tracks down to real audio. It has numerous instability issues with various AuV3’s and can not be relied upon otherwise to do all the jobs necessary at mixdown. Cubasis 3 is much better in this department.

    Tip 2: Is there a way to map a MIDI CC, such as from the external controller in Tip 1, to one of these internal instrument parameters?

      I tried really hard to make this work but I couldn’t find a way to make it happen unfortunately. ✌️✌️

    In Cubasis Halion Sonic Selection some drumkits only sound as long as you press down a key, e.g. the cymbal sound will stop when you release the corresponding key on the keyboard. How can I switch these to a different setting, so that they play in full, when you hit a key. For example, all the acoustic drum kits on my Yamaha MODX are configured that way as factory preset, so that you hear the full drum sound sample including the decay, when you hit a key shortly. Would appreciate an answer very much.

    • @JamieMallender
      @JamieMallender  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can’t change that. It works as midi did in the early days. In the piano roll you make the notes last for as long as you want to sustain the sound

      @@JamieMallender Thank you very much for the explanation! I am used to synth workstations (like Motif) and some arrangers, so this duration thing is pretty annoying for me. The Cubasis miniSampler also plays the full drum sample when triggered.
