Must have re-watched them all a million times and I never get bored. There was such a unique vibe with Scribble. The classic days of battles right here!
I said the same shit while listening to overcast in 96 while pops was showing me warren haynes. Now at 37 I mix warren haynes with gang star. Were getting old but our job is to never forget
46:36 awww lol they edited the part where wreckegnize stumbles on the beat and basically chokes lol eyedea was laughing when that ahit happened rip mikey!!
This was honestly the pinnacle of Scribble Jam, I think like 1999-2003 were the golden years with 2003 being the best. Why? Battle rap at this time, take 8-mile for example, was still more "street" with the aggression and a lot of black/hispanic/etc. in the competition. From 2004-2008 they opened it up and you got all these nerdy "skater" battle rap nerds who all showed up, from then on it was like Illmac, Mac Lethal, Franco, TheSaurus, New MC, Iron Solomon, JUSTICE, etc. it was like the era of the nerdy white skaters who battle rap for fun. The era of ppl like Eyedea, Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Adeem, Eminem and real artists who were making music but just did this as a side project for fun was sort of over, it cheapened the saponaceousness and meaning it once had.
So the white nerds do it “for fun” and it’s bad, but the real rappers do it “for fun” and it’s good? Your logic makes no sense you contradict yourself in the span of 2 sentences.
@@dr_redbanRL I mean... not really right? Do you honestly think Eminem.. Juice... SLug from Atmosphere... Brother Ali are WORSE MC's than someone like JUSTICE or Nocando? give me a break, nobody believes you.
@@Jaryism I don't know I listen to more Atmosphere than I do Jimmy the Lock. But he's still not bad. What's your point? HAHA JUST KIDDING NO ONE CARES AND NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE YOU ANYWAY SO SHUT THE FUCK UP DICKHEAD
No the fact is this has so few views because Scribble Jam was not sponsored by mainstream media until 2003 in order for the hip hop to stay hip hop and not mainstream! Not A lot of people are aware of this dvd/jam cause it’s underground
What's the beat at 43:48? At 51:58? Crazy how crispy this footage is, compared to the Scribbles after. Btw Swann, Target clothes are pretty decent. Lol.
@ Emmanuel Medina: The beat at 43:48 is from "At The Helm" from Heiroglyphics Crew. Having trouble remembering the second instrumental at 51:58. I keep thinking that it's a Pete Rock beat. At The Helm: th-cam.com/video/sYyeGX2rgpI/w-d-xo.html
@ Diurno MX: I personaly felt that Rhymefest won that. In regards to the judges being bias towards Juice. Keep in mind that there was some personal issues between Rhymefest & Juice. With both being from Chicago & whatever tension that was bubbling among them, the stage would've been set to finally settle who was the better of the two. Had Juice beat Ya Momma's Pimp, that would've happened. It would not have surprised me if the judges may have swayed some favor to either one of them to make that battle happen. Oh... Juice beat Em in 97'. Marshall ran out of steam, but while Juice won the battle, Em won the war.
Lets all be real, the majority of these lines are pre written. Some lines they come up with in the spot but majority are ALL preplanned. No one can compare to Harry Mack 😂 I really appreciate these forefathers, but if anyone says H Mack is not ahead of the game by a mile is full of shit. My man has literally changed the freestyle game forever. He has taken it to a new level and rappers need to reach this level to compete.
I miss scribble

29:34 the fact that people referenced Lebron James all the way back in 2003 shows how long he’s been in the league 😂
Juice vs Dos Noun. Whats the beat at 40:53?
LL Cool J -- ill Bomb

Oh... Juice beat Em in 97'. Marshall ran out of steam, but while Juice won the battle, Em won the war.
Wrecognize is kind of wack
Scribble died because judges are on Rhyme fest and Juice's nutsack, hence why EM lost to Juice in 1997.
Negative. By that logic, you probably thought Mac Lethal beat Adeem in 01'.
Em lost, fair and square -- get over it
