India now hv 90% electric trains and no one in India sit on roof ... These gentlemens hv very poor knowledge about what's going on in their own country...
They even dont know their state.
@JackAynsleyTravel
If they will sit on roof
They will get electric shock 😂😢
Sitting on the roof used to happen 30 years ago. That does not happen in India anymore. This is the thing he was trying to say at 25:00.
More than 85% of the railway routes in India are electrified.
Below AC classes are not recommended for foreigners. Also, the toilets are much cleaner in AC classes.
Peak britshit mentality 😂
💯
Some times it happens during Competitive exams.
@@rajeshsharmajaipur No, it doesn't.
@@matgranger5061 What it doesn't?? When students come from large appears in competitive exams like sainik bharti, Railways or patwari then return rush is so much that they don't hesitate sitting on roof. Have seen from my own eyes.
24:40 hell noooo!!
No one travels on train roof in India that footages are of Bangladesh...but yeah In festive season general boggie are bang bang!!...but no traveling on roof😅
That guy probably didn't get what jack said
The hole of the toilet doesnt open on the tracks all indian trains are fitted with biotoilets like plane these are the new german lhb coaches which we took license from germany transferd the tech here and now we make it also and export it also, even the old indian coaches are fitted with the biotoilet now
did you even watch the video ??😂😂😂💩💩
INDIA MADE COUCHES
Toilet is not overflowing.... That's tap water .... Maybe some open the tap... For that water is logged on toilet floor

Btw trains have bio toilet wherein the poop does not go down to tracks but gets collected in a container which converts it into water and gases that gets released when train is on the move and attains speed

Thank you very much, we loved this train journey we didnt think it was so risky. It was such an adventure

@@Adarsh_Paw you are right brother
I think that the scene of people traveling on roofs of trains is more common in Bangladesh than in India. Or possibly in Pakistan. In India, there are probably lots of train and other travel options available to people despite the largest population in the world. So, even if train travel on rooftop were visible it must've been in an era past.
Not in Pakistan either.
yes.
India is really developed and have just gotten better and better over the years, to find loopholes in my proud nation is definitely a task, as it is progressing even though it is home to 1.5 Billion people that is a huge huge number, along with that its home to multiple religions and castes all staying happily and freely on one land, its the land where every individuals hold equal rights and there is no autocratic government rule here, people can completely explore their own interests and build their own legacy with their potential with almost zero interference, yes there are few challenges we face, but we are just growing stronger and faster. Jai Hind! lots of love btw enjoy your trip in my lovely nation.
India developed ? Which angle ? I live here , lots of poverty , hardship. People dying without treatment. Indian govt should follow Chinese Govt learn something from them. I visited China , see that country is really developed. Millions lifted out of Poverty. Many Children are suffering from Malnutrition. To eradicate problems bring them to surface and do something about them. Don’t get entangled in self pamperness.
@@SD-ie2lxwhen somebody says developed, than means developed than earlier times ....
You might not have seen it earlier so it is very much developed than its earlier times.
Please dont compare it with China or any other developed country.
India is not developed in that sense.
@@SD-ie2lx Are you even aware about the autocratic and authoritative government in China, in India the rules are not that strict and every individual have the right to do whatever they want to, India is developing and will be very soon a super power, poverty is the issue because we got late independence and we were brutally looted my friend by the Britishers, but India is coming out of it very excellently, if incase you are poor then go work your ass out and make money, don't expect government to do it for you, as it is not viable for the government to help 2 billion people. The picture of people on the roof of trains is of Bangladesh and not India ,but uninformed locals are made to believe it is Indian trains that allow people on the roof . People on the roof of trains which happened in the 70s and early 80s on some trains of certain routes only . The images of people hanging and on the roof of trains are images on social media of Bangladesh before they also started developing.
Hi Jack,
Welcome to India.
Come to Nagpur I will host you🙏
It has been ages since people travel rooftop on Mumbai local trains as the overhead wire changed from 1.5k DC to 25k AC.
And in general such rooftop travel scenes are not really common now a days anywhere in India. I guess you might have observed too. May be when you go back to England, you can bring some light among people in West about their general imagination or perception about India.
No... people dont travel on roof in India anymore those are long gone days 😊 it was the era of 60s 70s ...
Ur wife is so cute.. always she is smiling..stay blessed nd safe journey both of you ❤❤❤❤
**The lowest class in the general coach. I bet u cant even enter there.**
I would appreciate the patience of weathering those early initial nervy moments in the train...but with time we all saw it was an amazing conversation and making new friends in train ...especially that guy beside you who was very friendly n communicative . 🎉

25:10 over 90% Railways are now electrified in India and it will be 100% very soon... So stop imagining that India is still the same what are we before 10 years... India is growing not only growing but the fastest growing major economy in the world, So changes are necessary
Don't crib if you wish to travel almost free of cost. This travel class is mostly for poor
bro, those arebio toilets and nothing falls on the tracks anymore, the bio toilets converts the waste into water and then the water is disposed off over the side of the tracks

They are so friendly and curious of someone who is of different culture, they want to learn and look up to western countries( not sure it is good or bad), I would say it is ok as long they respect their own, I love this interaction between them and Jack is very gracious for a young guy.
In india railways are more than 98% electricfied, no one sits on the roof of since 10-15 years the photos and videos u have seen is either 15year old or of Bangladesh. Yes local trains in mumbai is very crowded.

India is a vastly diverse country with a population of over a billlion. You won't find cleanliness & hygiene everywhere because of densely populated localities & illiteracy. Crime rates here are lower than the US & people are large hearted, peace loving & hospitable towards tourists.
I remember some other new vloggers recorded Indian railways journey and almost 90 percent of the comments in their video were filled with hate and disgust towards India and it's people. Obviously, these journeys are not for dirt haters or previledged people. Hope more people watch your video and understand that. Though people who compare Indian skins with "filthy" (in their words) dirt will never understand.
What you want to say -india's best pizza here😢 5:20
You should also visit north-east part of india because their beauty and rain forest are mind-blowing please i request you to one time visit to north east
India has changed a lot Mr. jack since the time you guys left it and soon the world will see it
It is really good even then ac . In 2nd class you would find fresh open air . No need to spend time in ac coach
Always enjoy 2nd class of Indian train ❤ in day time
But the toilets are not clean
Trains in Mumbai are all electric since 1950s I think. Because of very high voltage of the electric overhead cable, nobody sits on the roofs of the trains.
In the coming three four years, indian railway system will improve.. especially basic amenities
There is no 3rd class in India in non AC. Only AC class has 1st, 2nd and 3ac
Great vlog! Welcome to India!🇮🇳🇮🇳❤️

51:12 food from your friends Home thats why it's so delicious 😋 its daily food we eat everyday
@51:37 you should never offer any food to anyone which is already half eaten from your end bcz that is really very bad n disrespectful n demeaning ..it is considered as jootha food , meaning already consumed by one. Didnt like this gesture of yours at all. Please don't do that ever again.
Other than that , it was amazing vlog. Enjoyed it 👍
Reminds me of all the train journeys i did growing up. You meet so may people
You could have contacted the ticket checker guy to lower the AC temperature .. thank you for visiting our colorful and beautiful country.

Great job travelling Jack. One needs to have a lot of patience, energy and ability to remain calm in every situation when visiting a foreign country.Paige is always smiling 🙂, great to see a comfortable vibe around.Just one suggestion, when you see an old, disabled person asking for some money or food, don’t hesitate to give something.Life is opposite and tough for them in Indian subcontinent, they don’t get any government support like how it’s in the UK.I know it’s not our responsibility but Rs 50-100 is less than a pound, the old man could buy something to eat.Keep enjoying your travel and stay!
This is not 3rd class this is sleeper class

😢over the roof is not possible in India now as 93% of indian tracks are electrified but rush is there as India has a large population but that thing is also going to be rectified in few years as no of trains are being increased
bro in indian trains there is a storage for toilet waste that dropping on tracks are 20 years ago story
Lowest Class is called general unreserved class. There is no third class in Indian Railways at present.
Well come to India.
I hear first class AC ppl are boring...yeah, with increase in economic levels u will often find a parallel increase in exclusiveness, less human-ness, less interactive ness, more selfish ness, naricistic ness
Very discrimination based judgemental comment .. that's not always the case...if people can afford that , then what's ur problem man...stop spreading negativity in free networking platforms

Lovely couple. You two are very loving and caring. Piege is very sweet girl. She cares like Indian girls, small small things what's actually matters a lot unlike British girl I have seen as of now. They care too but different way. In sort western type of caring and Indian - Bharatya ways are too different . Only those have experienced can understand.

Of course agree but such things happened during British raj in India.
Do visit Bangladesh where such practice is being follow.
In Mumbai the local trains are electric train and if anyone dares to sit then he us inviting his death by himself.

You just have options to do complain on that app if you face any issue in your journey they can clear it in next station bro

24:43 People can't be on the roof in India Because the trains are electrified. and you'll get 10,000 volts if you touch the wires. That's Bangladesh.
I will always recommend using Indian style toilets in India during the train journey.
For number 1 it's fine, to use indian toilet for number 2 if it's an emergency 😅 always prefer indian toilet, as you know your butt is not touching anything which is touched by other person's butt. 😅
