“Please connect to your computer your didj needs a tuneup” Man when this came on screen while you’re on a long trip or something you knew you were fucked
4:20 The creepiest one, slightly sounds like the narrator from Super Why for the V Smile when the narrator says "Please reconnect the controller" (Probably V. Smile Motion and V. Motion Only)
I'll be trying to get all of the music besides Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Those last 3 just use music from the films/cartoons themselves which will get me a copyright srtrike if uploaded.
I'll get NickToons, NeoPets, DLC music from NickToons (that game only has 4 songs in the base game from what I've played and the micromods I got off of the LeapFrog servers reference "new music" but don't contain the said music)
For Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, just put "No copyright infringement intended." Maybe that'll prevent you from copyright strikes. Sorry to interrupt.
@@idoghacker8008 Can you record "Nicktoons: Android Invasion"? I've been dying to see what this entry in the Nicktoons crossover series is but I don't wanna buy a system for 1 game.
@@CosmicSponge2004 I tried the Nicktoons game on my Leapster Explorer and couldn't get myself focused enough to want to beat the first level. The game is an extremely basic 2D platformer with insanely stiff controls and an awful framerate of about 2.5fps.
I can tell the devs tried though. The system they were working with had some terrible software limitations like the "curriculum wheel" that was coded into the OS and used in almost every game.
Unfortunately for me, both my childhood didj and my current didj fell victim to the "your didj needs a tune up" bug. Fortunately, I'm getting a leapster explorer here in the next 3 days and I can play my didj games on it.
Oh the tune up thing? I think I know how to fix this issue, i think you use DD and rewrite the kernel and rootfs to their partitions (Not tedted I do not have a didj)
There is a way to fix it, but it's difficult. you need a virtual machine with windows 7, a clean copy of the didj version of leapfrog connect, and your didj and a piece of software designed to grant access to the didj firmware and storage.
So basically I uploaded kernel.bin and erootfs to internet archive. So you mount the didj and I think go to the partitions where kernel.bin and erootfs.jffs2 go and use dd
Hello friend, I have a Didj, but I get the message "Your Didj needs a tune up." I have tried to update via Leapfrog connect but have not been able to get it to work. Do you know of any way to fix it, I would really appreciate it. Greetings from Chile.
I never had a didj but i had a leapster 2 and (to me) this system is slightly better because of how (unfortunately) obscure the system is as well as it's games. I don't know why this system failed like the concept is genius.
I hated that screen for the longest time up until I got a special cartridge that lets me delete the needs_repair flag. The OS is insanely buggy... Any time it detects an error, a needs_repair flag gets created in /flags/ on the root of the device.

the memories are flowing back, i used to play with it all the time
same, it’s nostalgic
Same, I miss it so much, it’s a lot of fun!
Same man , back around like 2010 this was one of my favorite games to play when I was a kid lol
Same, alongside the Leapster 2. And the Explorer / LeapPad 2 and Ultra.
Everyone else had their DS, I had this. And I couldn't have been happier with it.
I had both but by the time I got my DS I barely used the DiDj anymore. I would only play it a few more times after that I got the DS.
Same
i actually had both the didj and the ds. i don’t have either anymore unfortunately but i’m thankful they were a part of my childhood.
ngl the music for jetpack heroes was dope
what the hell man, this console has like wii menu ambient music, i love this already
This is unlocking core memories from 2010 when i was an 8 year old.
Forgotten memories from my childhood are coming back to me! Thanks for uploading this and it makes me feel like I’m in the late 2000’s again! 😍😍
Yep! I had one of each!
crying from nostalgia rn
This just unlocked the deepest memory I ever had
Its actually been almost a decade since I had one of these as a kid... I'm so thankful for you uploading this.
Its 3am and I am sobbing, thank you so much for uploading these 👏
the most 2000s handheld I've ever seen
3:32 Your Didj is shutting down.
Damn, the memories I forgot existed, all brought back by this video. Thank you.
If 3:32 is played when shutting the system off, HOW COME THERE IS A AUDIO CLIP OF THE NARRATOR SAYING SHUTTING DOWN????
It might be unused because I never heard it on my didj
After all these years I still have my Diji
“Please connect to your computer your didj needs a tuneup”

Holy moly of Jewish Jesus, you my dear sir deserve 1 million dollars. Defiantly subscribing!!!!!!!!!
this was my childhood

I have a Windows laptop and a Leapster Explorer and LeapPad2. Can you please explain a step-to-step list on how to screen capture them?
Can we enable system logging on the Leapster Explorer, LeapPad Explorer, LeapPad 2, and Leapster GS?
Is there jet pack heroes music

For Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, just put "No copyright infringement intended." Maybe that'll prevent you from copyright strikes. Sorry to interrupt.
@@brenna122i2 Yeah, but you can find the music in those games by just looking up the movie soundtracks
How did you get this?
Hacked a Didj by doing lots of research online due to how well documented the hardware is

Could just upload an hour long version of the didj background music?
@Spencer Lent Thank you for doing that. For those wondering, this isn't a troll comment and they actually did loop it.

What does the didj mean by "your didj needs a tune up" does it mean it needs a upgrade?
It means the system ran into an error and that the error needs to be fixed

That reminds me of a song!

Fr shit was annoying as hell
@@Nick-lz5lx Agreed
Ended up hacking the Leapster Explorer and LeapPad 3 to record Didj game footage because my Didj started doing that permanently.
