My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
Awesome rig bro. Those craftsman box's under your seat fit perfectly, I'll have look for those. I'm not a tournament angler. But have been kayak fishing from PA12's for 8yrs now. Upgraded to PA12 360 year n half ago now. I don't run a trolling motor, but finally added electronics this past winter. I just rigged up echomap ultra 1/6sv, steady cast heading sensor & lvs34 system past month. It's an awesome set up! With all sales from gramin & bass pro, coupon codes. I got all the electronics including lithium battery for $2655
Just ordered a new 2022 pa 14 180. My dealer had last years model and saved a few dollars. I am going with the motorguide xi3 with spotlock. I thought about the Newport but really wanted spotlock.
Yeah man I actually put* one on a small rolling hand cart ( out bigger fatter tires on it. ) And one of these with 3 drawers and a big one on the bottom for plastics...can't complain. Allows me to carry a lot more with out having to stuff it in bag. Once I get my Yak repaired...I'm getting one like yours for the yak
Great setup. I was looking at the Motorguide Xi3 with spot lock. Lot of $$ though. I was wondering. Is everything tied down in case of a flip. What about water proof for the batteries. Just a thought.
Well the black pack has straps on it but not the most secure and the battery box is not 100% battery proof but I did seal a few small entry spots so haven't really gotten any water in the box yet
I do no not, no Anchor or anything!!! I had an anchor get stuck a while back and it started sucking the butt of the kayak under water luckily it popped free before I sank, so I just stay away from them now!!
This spring I'm hoping to get another power pole mount to put on the 12th and then a motor mount and I should be able to take that motor and switch it back and forth from the 12 to 14 I'll have to register the 12 but all I need is two things and I should be able to switch the motor back and forth so I'll have that motor for the river Yak as well
I need both a new yak and some accessories.. but I'm betting my trip to see you would be a bit long. I'm in VA ...not sure a trip to Knoxville would help me save much. But I'd still love to go to Knoxville regardless
Fishing expo is coming up towards the end of the month, I'll be working at the River Sports booth some there, possibly be worth the trip for that show...will be tons and tons of sales etc...huge show
How much was the trolling motor, batteries, mounts in total? I've been pedaling so long now, it doesn't wear me out or make me sore. Easier than walking. I try to launch near area I'm fishing, sometimes now possible. I can see advantage of making really long hauls with trolling motor. How much weight does it add? I load mine in truck & launch with my cart. I'd rather not have a trailer. Seems like everyone wth motor goes to a trailer. I assume because of weight? All big lakes around me in SC charge for parking at the ramps if you have a trailer. I like to park for free. Good luck in the tournaments!
Well I got the motor on sale but it's back up to $999 and I'm working with the battery company so they sent those to me for free but they are about the best deal you will find at around $199 each....then I had to buy the Hobie power pole bracket to mount the motor to which was around $100 spent roughly another $100 on the small things like wire, pullies to raise and lower the motor and then it was like $233 to register!!! So if someone was to buy that set up right now I'd say your looking at around $1800 give or take!!! I'm in about $1300
@@BASSnBEER You definitely got good deal & saved a ton on that set up! What battery company are you working with? I've only owned 1 lithium so far. Just recently got it for my electronics. It's a 32ah 14.8v amped outdoors. It will run a 10" Garmin along with LIve scope plus & steady cast for 12+ hours. I haven't ran it down yet. I need a battery meter or something so I know when to put it on the charger & not let it run out on me. I just roughly keep track how long I've had it on. I put it on charger after 11-12 hours of use. How long will your batteries run you motor?
Hey, I am a Knoxville resident and want to get into the fishing kayak scene. I like to fly fish so it makes it a little more tough or limited on what kind of kayak. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it! Love the content keep it coming!! Cheers
Hey man!! I'd be glad to try and help point you in the right direction!! If you want to swing by river sports outfitters over on Sutherland Ave and we can look at a few kayaks we got if you want or swing by the fishing show this weekend!! Get a better idea of some of the platforms by seeing them in person!! Also appreciate you watching brotha 🤙
If I cut 12" off there wouldn't be enough shaft!! It's made for kayaks so not much give or take...its adjustable, so you can raise it up or down, so no need to cut anything
Nooooooo, I'd say if you added it all up your looking at like 10k but I bought it used, got the graph for cheap from a buddy used and the batteries were sent from a company!! I'm a pore man!!

Nice set up. Looking forward to new tournament videos and wins
Appreciate it!! Hopefully we have a bunch of both this year 🤙
I like that toolbox idea!
Yeah man it works great!!
Yeah those little boxes for tools work great with sliding drawers
Absolutely...you don't realize how handy those little things are until you get one

Thank you Brotha 🤙 I wanted this set up so bad for a couple years or so...worked hard until I was able to finally get it!!!
Nice looking setup for the Hobie!

Thanks dude!! I wasn't sure if you was still around or not bro
@BASSnBEER just working and hibernating lol. I still be around just haven't fished alot.

Question on your river hobie. Do you have a drag chain set up on that river boat? If so point me to the video if you have one. Good looking lake boat.

Hell yeah man!! It's always exciting seeing everything come together
Nice setup!! If I lived in Tennessee I’d buy a kayak from you at your new job, and have you help me set it up 👍
Hey a little road trip is always fun lol

Hi my friend where did you get the thing to rise the motor pulley and fixed you fixed in front of the kayak to block the cord?
I think I have a link to it if that's what your talking about...its like a cam jam...holds the cord for raising the motor?
