Fading Steps
- Set in guideline with 0 lever closed
- lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5, 2 , guard blend up
- Clipper over comb
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

Should I get this cut when my hair is short or would it be best to have it done when it’s grown out at the start like his?
The only way you will give yourself a bad cut with this tutorial is solely the trial and error process. I put this tutorial on for every cut. As I cut my hair, i get better every time. Cutting hair is a process of patience and if you can’t hold your arms up for long periods or if you aren’t ambidextrous or good with both hands, be patient. The more practice the better you become. It also helps to have a decent pair of clippers. I know people who have been incarcerated that can use a bic and comb to cut, but get a good pair of clippers if you’re cutting yourself, the barbers do for a reason.

Usually the blue light will turn on when you are running low on battery. It’s an indication that you are running low on battery, the nice thing on these clippers is that you don’t lose power until it completely dies. Hope this helps! 👑
