Watching Chase just calmly dismantling teams of 3 while dodging every pew and bonk imaginable ans taking almost no damage and mainly trades will never get old lol Elden ring needs teams of 4 now cause this is too easy for him
i love the idea of having something super scary in your inventory to catch people off guard, in this case, Waterfowl Dance. they might see you rocking a bow or a greatsword, or whatever you might be teasing them with. round the corner, and theyve walked into the blender themselves!
I like how each opponent and situation is like a fun puzzle for Chase 🙂 To the point where he sometimes seems a little disappointed when he finishes them off early. Wholesome gaming at it’s best.
I mentioned standard whip last time for a strength build, but scratch that, apparently thorn whip has some more damage (even if it's better occult), but the normal whip gets more range. Maybe a video with a variety of ashes of war of both those whips?
15:35 that dude with his 2 bodyguards activating and desactivating TT when chase arrived but running to the fogwall at the second they died. The new souls community 😐
New? Man you never invaded in DS3 Catacombs of Carthus. Host would always run across bridge attack it then hit fog wall immediately. Which sucks cause CoC was my favorite invasion area mainly the traps I felt super sneaky and cool by using them sometimes.
@@thewatcher2255 i have 2500h in ds3. Fog wall is not the point you missed a good half of my comment. It s about intentionally luring an invader into a 3v1 but panicking when it doesn t go your way and then running like a brave hero. Some nifty plays in this one! Still think this build needs a highland axe with beast roar just for dealing with corridor wizards though. Side note, I’ve been enjoying the cleanrot spear lately, testing out various offhands to find a solid roll catch tech for the AoW. Any insight?
Love seeing the parries. Its a shame the introduction of jumping (and jump attacks without a long af super punishable animation) pretty much nerfed parries into the dirt. Used to be a much stronger rock paper scissors interaction (although as your later ds3 content proved, backstabs were way too OP back then too)
you could use that blue shield that increases bleed and frost resistance, since you use the shield just for parries. And great video man, I love to see you invading people
The snowy area wherein you invade nathan is the one whose erdtree avatar drops, i think, the physic tear that further boosts consecutive attacks. Good for your build
I just discovered your channel and your ability to swap through your equipment so fast is incredible. Is that through hours & hours of repetition? Any general tips on doing so? Thanks.
Sometimes chase has plot armor ( he’s a vet at these games) it’s crazy. He tends to be organized and familiar with navigating the menu quickly. If you go watch his old PvP videos from older FS games you’ll see that he’s been doing that for a long time. He’s a very fast thinker as well lol. No
Its part training and set up inventory: -once you're really familiar with menu swapping, you can go really fast from 1 equipment to another given its not too far (in the sense you don't have to press too many buttons just to get to the item, like 1-2 press is generally the best) in the inventory and you know where it is. (Also a tip is to close menu via the "menu" button instead of hitting B multiple times for obvious reasons, but it kinda requires training for the action you want to follow up, like L2 if you swapped to an AoE, running R1/R2, roll an incoming menu punish, estus, etc.) -you can select the way you sort your inventory, with "sort by order of acquisition" you can effectively sort your inventory the exact way you want by sorting manually, putting items in the chest and taking them back the order that you want. (Also, while in the chest menu melee/shield/bow/staffs are separated, when you're changing weapons all of those are mixed together (with order of acquisition being kept), so you can sort your inventory to have a parry shield right next to your offhand weapon, it just requires a bit of thinking)
Dude if I haven't been watching your videos I would have thought this was staged this is like some straight up anime protagonist stuff you are extremely skilled man
Started watching chase recently and been loving all of the videos. Im usually a dual player but i wanted to do invasions but everytime i try it just never happens. Does it just genuinely take that long just for 1 invasion or am i just that unlucky?
At first I thought DEX builds were kind of bad, but after exploring all the options available, they are pretty awesome. Standout weapons for me are the Hand of Melania, Frozen Needle, and the Guardian Swordspear- but there's many good choices. Even the basic scimitars that I started with as a Warrior are really good in PvP. Only the Scimitar and the Shamshir have the extra quick curved sword moveset. And ashes like Lightning Bolt, Beast Roar, and Storm Blade help you a lot when dealing with casters, because you want on-demand ranged attacks for when they retreat. I use those, in addition to throwing knives and lightning pots. And that's to say nothing of bows. Bows are a little funky though and I find that I don't like slotting one for PvP because it takes too long to actually pull out and shoot, since I have to 2-hand it. Honestly, the Frozen Needle is an amazing weapon because of it's heavy attack projectiles. And you can use the feint/backstep R2 move to shoot the projectiles faster and safer than normal. This weapon and the scimitar have won me so many duels. They are just damn good and put in work.
I've been using 40 on my Int/Faith mostly for the cast speed but I definitely need to finish getting some stuff. Thankfully I'm out of the 137 bracket now since I'm past 170 heading to 200. Bows are actually pretty fun when supplementing a casting build, plus there's the greatarrow glitch which I've only used a few times when people tryhard and run around for 700 years. I generally don't but sometimes that Pontiff ptsd kicks in and I don't enjoy chasing someone for minutes at a time as they hope to just 1-shot with Raptor Talons and pretend they're good at the game
it is! i've been running one at lower levels and it's pretty damn effective. nobody really knows how to counter bows. poison and bleed arrows keep the pressure on, enchanted shot picks people off from a distance, and barrage can proc bleed quickly on anyone being too aggressive
Fun fact, you can parry all carian sword sorcery, this includes carian greatsword, carian slicer and carian piercer, but the best weapon to use with a parry sheild is Saint Trina's Torch.
I used to watch all your videos back in 2016/2017 when you made DS3 content. Got busy with adult life and forgot about your channel. Glad I found it again!
I've seen in a few videos you using a bow and jumping before shooting. Is there some trick to it? Also, the way you fought the 3v1 was amazing. If it was me, I would be dead in two seconds.
i would say around a minute to 2 minutes usually during less popular hours, pretty instant on weekends or evenings EST time, PS5 is also a lot more active then pc for invasions
Banished knight halberd with piercing fang seems to be a good wake up for me sometimes… not a guaranteed thing, but I suck, so if it works for me a decent amount someone who’s actually good might have better luck! Worth a try, curious if it works for you as well!
