I wanted to let you know that I made some exciting updates to the barber ASMR video - the voice is now binaural! I hope you enjoy the immersive experience. Each time, I'm working hard to improve the voice quality. I'm quite happy with how it turned out this time, but I'm also considering recording sessions with a friend's voice, or more of my real voice. I'm even thinking of saving up to hire a professional voice from Fiverr. I'm experimenting and learning along the way, and I hope you'll enjoy this journey of growth with me. Thanks for your continued support! Sincerely, Calm
It sounded great! The only thing I noticed was before most sentences there was a sharp breath in that wasn't super natural but otherwise was great. Although, a human voice would always be appreciated not only for its realism but it's also nice knowing it's a real person talking and not a computer software. That's just my thoughts though!
I love the way sounds travel everywhere in my earphones. Left, right, behind, on the front, far away, medium distance, extremely close. I find details to be one of your biggest strengths concerning the channel. Thank you for another fantastic video !
I always love the talking version, it sort of gives a full experience. The voice modulation has been improving which is really great!! Loved this video
I'm glad you enjoy the voice modulation! It was a challenging technique for me to learn how to create. I also have a soft spot for talking ASMR; it requires a lot more work to make, but it definitely provides a complete experience of the story.
Thanks for the new video! Two pieces of feedback, if you want to have it: 1. try to add some..“muttering“ voice lines in between. At least my barber sometimes speaks to himself a bit like „right, let’s get this one“, „mhmm…“ or „where are the…?“. I’d think that adds to the atmosphere. 2. at least in this one the voice direction(?) changes quite abruptly and sometimes the volumes fluctuates too much. Not sure what levers you have in editing, but that would be the other thing to look into to making it realistic. It’s not like a barber would jump from left to right in a second :D Do keep up the great work! Glad I found your channel ❤️
@Tassadar661899 Hey thank you so much for taking the time to write out such good feedback! It’s packed with so many great tips on how I can improve for the next barber video in the series. I hope you know how much I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions! ❤️
@@CalmCavernsASMR Can just agree on the comment above the jumping makes me dissy It needs to be slower from one side to next also lined up to the scissors But else I found the sound is great just the mixing needs more work
Yas, the ear-to-ear! Okay, who's Alex? Is this the start of a lore? Or perhaps, there's already one? :o That chuckle from afar at 3:02, nice touch. Are we in a barbershop with other barbers and customers? If yes, maybe some bits of layering of faraway door chimes, unintelligible talking and hairdrying...? Great content as always!
Yes! I'm so happy you noticed the chuckle. That took some extra work to add in because I had to find the right sfx sound for it. I truthfully didn't think anyone would pay any mind to it, but myself. I hope you know it made you so happy keen ears like yours enjoy the chuckle. ❤️ As for lore you are absolutely on the right track, the lore has been added since the first video on this channel.
Subscribe, then I will tell ya. 😁 I'm just teasing, the voice sounds similar to Tom's because of my experiment with heavy voice editing. I am currently trying out different techniques and planning to hire a script reader once I save up more. I hope you enjoy these experimental phases of the channel!
This is awesome. I love the dynamics of the audio. The way that you incorporate depth reminds me of that one barbershop audio test like 10+ years ago, I forgot what it’s called exactly. I’ve found that the “audio test” videos always give me way more tingles than the ASMR-structured ones.
@@oofasmr2743 yeah. It sounded more like a fake Italian voice. I still have the video saved- it's not like I forgot it or anything, but the name slipped my mind. I did forget how famous it was though. The overall soundscape of videos like that are just very pleasing to listen to.
@MrsSU47 Thank you for your support! I'm glad you enjoy the British voice. I'm also glad you found the channel and I'm excited to have you as a listener.
Man, I'm here at 4 in the morning watching this video and I took some time to try to write a comment with my bad English I'm simply loving the voice, it goes through my mind like butter and leaves me relaxed, besides the voice being soooo goooddd to hear, the triggers are also so good that I have no doubt that I'll be asleep in a few minutes, thank you very much for this work of art 💖🇧🇷
Me trying to go to sleep bec it's past 4 am now The lore of this channel: time to get interesting (My theory is that alex is in danger and this guy came here to know what are the secrets alex had tried to share with us.... meaning this guy cutting my hair right now is a dangerous person i should not be near of(゚ー゚*) ) (Also maybe alex is a clone with multiple alex clones, one taking over the other once the old one tries to run away or something) (Or maybe i am just overthinking bec of lack of sleep) Edit (nm the moment i posted the comment, he started talking about a lab which makes clones (゜.゜) )
I enjoyed this. I like the binaural voice. Great job! By way of feedback, I could have done with more scissor cutting. Also, I think that the electric clippers sounded a bit distant to me. The clippers should be close to the ears and should move behind the head, as when the barber cleans up the neck.
Secret confession time I'm actually scared of clipper because when I was little I always felt like they were going to accidentally cut my head somehow 😅🤣 I think unintentionally I made the clipper sound more distant than all the other sounds. Thank you for your feedback, I can definitely improve on it!
Thanks for taking my suggestion. Last two was quite boring. Now this is interesting. But I have one more suggestion. Maybe moving the barber sounds so fast isn't the best idea. Maybe try to do it slowly, how barbers cut hair slowly and move around the head while talking. Just like how real barber experience goes.
Thanks for the idea! It was my first time learning how to pan the voice, so I may have gone a bit overboard with the effect. With helpful feedback like your, I will make sure to enhance this aspect for the upcoming videos in this barber series!
I'm glad I chose Alex. I debated for a while between the names Alex and John, thinking it would make the video more personal for people with the name. 😁
The sounds of this video seems a lot higher quality than the sounds of other videos even though they both have whatever the special audio is called and I’m really curious about why
It is mostly due to better editing skill that I am working on and learning. The first two videos have no walking movement edit for the voice, this feedback was something I tried hard to correct. If you go back to listen to the other two older videos it should give it away that the tone was stationary. My goal is as this barber series goes on you will hear the improvement of better sound quality for each one. 😊
That is my ultimate goal actually! I am working harder to master the edit/technical skills to make that happen. You can definitely expect that eventually, this series will have a 3D whisper coming!
Oh, that's such a good game. The Clown and Milkman are my favorite doppelganger. If you like deeper lore connection, I think you are in for an excellent time in the next few months because I plan to continue leaving secret hints around this channel for a bigger storyline. 😊

Hahaha 🤣Oh my god, you're hilarious! I love how you describe the thumbnail, now I can't unsee it. I don't know if you're into roast comedy, but you've got serious talent for it. To answer your question, I aimed for a more futuristic and deformed look of a tumbumbail in my earlier video because I wanted to create an uncanny effect. I have to admit, I have a soft spot for weird art.
