Interesting video, quick, but everyone runs what they think is the best. I copied a build recently that someone posted and it actually suprised me. Gila Guard (chill out mask) rolled to skill tier, brazos chest with obliterate, picaros holster rolled to skill tier, improvised gloves and knee pads rolled to skill tiers and the Momento pack. The build has 6 skill tiers, 1.4 million with i think 45chc, and 175chd using the capacitor.
The only Blue Brand Set i actively use is 3pc Uzina with 2pc Ceska (rerolled to Armor) in my HazPro Tank with Backfire + Memento and Intimidate on the Chest. I chose normal Brand Sets over Gear Sets in this specific build because that way i have more Crit Stats to work with.
Hi guys! Some points of a DZ PS4/PS5 player: 2:32 It's not viable use Incoming repairs in PvP just because FI exists. The heal from ground control (+backpack) its enough for repair a 1.8/2.0 player (and its common the others players run builds with 1.4/1.6 when there is a healer in the team) and the players gonna lose dmg for receiving something that is already enough. 6:23 I never see a player using 3 pieces golan, even in experimental builds, because with you want more protection, this means you want more survivability and more regen from brend sets is better then more protection in PvP in general (mainly now that we have a lot of players using pestilenece and stinger hive). 8:43 Usina in PvP its a bad brand set (my opinion) and I just see someone using for the "Closer" chest. This happens for several reasons, but mainly because you are gonna lose dmg for just 5% armor. Armor on kill dosen't have space in PvP for the same reason, you lose dmg in exchange for just a little more survivability and in the case of armor on kill it's even worse in PvP, because we don't kill fast and several enemies as in PvE for deserve the exchenge. And the hazard protection, just like 5.11, we have better ways (yaahl). 9:58 About yaahl I have somethings to say: 1. The 1pc yaahl its essential for 100% hazard build or semi protection (hybrid builds), with makes a good set for PvP (and PvE in certains cenarios) 2. The 10% weapom dmg its good in PvP, because we use armour cores instead of red cores, with can viablize use weapown dmg gear sets with high expertise weapowns. 3. The pulse resistence its not good how one day has, because we don't have much players using flatline how was when launched. So we don't have much players to counter. But the pulse resistence its good to make stealth builds. 4. Unfortunately, heartbreak its not a good gear set in PvP, sorry to say dod 😭 But at the end, dod its right: play with pieces that you think its fun because its only a game! (Sorry guys, my eng its pretty bad 😭)
Ok, so what build do you use in DZ? I need the ''Rock N' Roll'' shotgun to get the Striker/chest piece sets stack going faster and more consistently...
Great analysis! Ever since i started playing, my issue with brand sets have been the combination and order of the bonuses. Same with the perfect talents on weapons and armor. They have all these cool stats but almost none worth equipping the required pieces to get them. They just feel unsatisfying to use. I wish they had only 1 bonus that's good.
Excellent content. Great for us all. Good to see you back, you were missed. Like the short videos and I'm sure they are a little easier to create. Keep up the great work!
the status effect on Habs is to synergize with the super powerful mmr that came out with that brandset. You forgot the almighty Chill out, but yeah overall if they had gone consistent with the deeper you go the more you get...Palisade should have a +2 skill tiers at 3pc.
I think it's fine to have weapon-based damage attributes to focus on even more damage for specific weapons. I totally agree that armor barely does anything in this game, especially in high-level content. We get only a nanosecond more survivabilty for our investment in it. I don't think they should have nerfed armor %. What they should have done is increase the armor % depending on where it appears in the brand set order. Say 10% if it's on the first piece, 20% on the second, and 30% if it's on the third. So the effect is magnified the deeper you have to go to get it. They should do this with some of the other stats as well.
The sets should work differently The more of items you use the stronger bonuses would be , for example 1 item 5% armor on kill , 2 items - 10, and 3 items 15% - that on pallsiade. The 3 bonuses would be static even on 1 item by their strenght would raise with item count.
It is technically higher damage but its additive And since expertise can replace the gear piece when it comes to the damage now you can replace it with anything else to get higher damage (using some sort of multiplicative damage source like damage to armor or damage to targets out of cover) or extra utility Tldr there are better ways to get more damage
I come to the fact of running solo trying of the newbies running passed everyone and going down. Or I will just put more adjectives on and wish them luck.
I haven’t used brand sets in years, I think they killed them even more so with Project Resolve, 2% decreases of ceska, grupo and Prov, no point nerfing some of them
The game is very different for pre-lvl 30 new players though. All these bonuses are huge boons, although some brand bonuses still feel out of place. Not saying you're wrong from the end-game point of view, but the game has to consider new player experiences as well to stay alive.
Ok. So I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say why is the 10% buff to specific weapon types bad even with expertise? If you have a gun levelled up to 27 expertise surely another 10% is a good thing??
Diminishing returns + you could get more crit stats which is generally better. Contractors, foxes, exotic take up 3 slots of any highend you would then want grupo ceska next so last pick could be a 10% brandset. If running a gearset you have 4 pieces allocated to gearset 2 free slots one of which is generally an exotic. You would then want crit as your last oiece with ceska
Gila is better than uzina since the intro of cavalier as that gives 2% regen along with belstone and still reaching 100 hazpro which is my tank for Feiser but outside of that I can’t say as I don’t spec into blues enough to know
Hapsberg with a 30% AoK? Bwahahaha As long as Determined remains broken within the game? Hell NO Headhunters Fury will at least keep builds to a single attribute option. While it also keeps crazy headshot dmg multipliers away from the super survivability buff both would then give.
How dare you downplay the greatness that is Badger Tuff. I once ran into a player in a Legendary Tidal Basin that ran a 4-piece Badger Tuff build with random-ass stats. Instantly noped from that group lol
Brazos de Arcabuz is good three piece red unicorn to get that increase magazine size, par it up with one zwiadowca preferably the gloves and you have yourself a good magazie side for any weapon. Even the scorpio would feel good again.
@joshb3024 Not if it all red attribute on the gear. Which is the build I am running with. I can easily do any heroic missions and side activities with this build solo or in a team.
I use x1 all red Belstone, x1 all red Golan on ninjabike builds to remove the need for armour kits Why use 3 Gila? 1 Belstone = 1% (1% per piece) 2 Golan = 1.5% (.75% per piece) Combined 2.5% (.83% per piece) Vs... 3 Gila = 2% (.66% per piece) Or with ninjabike... 1 Belstone @ 1% = 1% per piece 1 Golan @ 1.5% = 1.5% per piece Combined @ 2.5% = 1.25% per piece Vs... 2 Gila @ 2% = 1% per piece, so matches Belstone, but requires to pieces to achieve what 1 does. Lots with this game doesnt make sense.
Im guessing most of yhe new ones are going to be shit, lets see...... ah kinda right but the regen comments after the project resolve complaints for nurfs kinda hurt 😢😅😂
I reworked a build for chameleon...visinario mask, i also run Ninja bike with it, so i run providence chest gives a 130% range. So i now have better range then the best AR...
Swap speed is pointless because you loose your stacks if you swap. Range is also a bad match because the weapon has low accuracy. Ninja almost never worth loosing a backpack talent.
@martinmiller3765 I didn't remember that the first brand set was swap speed...but I see you either dont understand. Or don't realize not all back pack talents are damage based. See its the second that I'm at after which is optimal range. So with this one peice. I got a 120% range. This eliminates the weapons weakness...therefore the 120% range is my backpack talent. See look at it this way, it would be no different from running any other non damage back talent. Like Adrenaline rush or galvanize, clutch etc...even some gear sets back packs dont offer damage but rather things like bonus armor. Look at it like this, any brand set that the ninja bike unlocks is your back pack talent. Many people don't understand this. And its never explained this way. So in this case the following is my back pack talent. 70% range 8% crit chance Strikers Gamble 15% weapon damage 1skill tier These three things are all coming from my back pack. While at the same time enabling me enhance my weapon to my liking. Sure I lose some damage by not running the striker back pack. But thats what making builds are about. Finding a fit that works for you. Running it this way makes it way more efficient for me. I'm able to max out the stacks on the chameleon without having put my self in unnecessary danger. Also, the weapons is still doing over one mil to the body and 1.4mil to the head. So I have all the damage I need and some plus a weapon that I can use long range and short with no issues. I would not run the Elmo or Lex this way...but i would use this build for a SMG or any weapon that struggles with range. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
@@leftlanehiphop6259 As far as I know, range doesn't increase weapon handling so the weakness of the weapon remains. If you still have a high hitrate despite that, good for you. Ninja has no minor attributes. High-ends have red cores too. You'd get Striker 's Gamble anyway with 4 pieces. So your backpack talent is actually: +70% range -6% chc (Providence minus Ninja minus Ceska) -12% chd (no minor on Ninja) -13% chd (no Grupo) +1 blue core (not as good as a defense talent) +1 yellow core (makes almost no difference) -25% TWD/AMP (no Vigilance or Unstoppable/Striker backpack) None of those are worth it. In other words Ninja pretty much never does anything a backpack talent can't do better. I recommend Eagle's Grasp. The weapon handling and increased mag size make a much more significant impact on Chameleon with just 1 piece.
I relate to both of you…It’s cool to see someone else finally discussing Visionario mask in this dept. Yes I too have enjoyed it w Chameleon, SMGs, Shottys & Pistols w extra weapon handling tossed in if need be I’m not too worried about chc / chd losses in areas…depending on what I’m seeking of coarse… cause at the same time I love the Chameleon w the striker pack….again, all depends 🤷🏻♂️ (PS, I never thought about the factor of swapping and losing stacks w Chameleon…it does fire pretty fast, so one could just not use the ACS and stay strictly in one slot the whole time)
@mezmauler Yeah, I never swap. Only on Ledgendary... Once you put the range on the weapon. It improves the accuracy. The accuracy problems only happen on this weapon at range. Inside of 15 meters there's no accuracy problems. Not that I have anyway. With this setup, im hitting enemies at a further distance and hard than an elmo setup. With chameleon bonuses, it's no drop off in damage. If anything, it may be more. I'm not a inside 10 meter player. Takes too long to chase enemies around at times.
Gila and Golan are for PVP Armor Regen Builds, same for Belstone. Uzina also PVP 100% Hazard, Yaahl 100% Pulse Res in PVP.

Massive's mind-boggling, arbitrary nerfs to many of the brand sets is what made me quit the game after five years of playing daily.
Too many useless sets with useless talents. The devs backed themselves in a corner with expertise.
