Hello, I have a Pfaff 34-4BL machine, it is for sewing leather and leather, it has a round presser foot. I want to use it to sew fabric like yours, what is the name of the fabric presser foot on your machine? thank you
Hi SergeantI am having trouble with the lower bobbin case, machine fitting. the thread runs smooth on the bobbin but once inserted it is stiff and breaks, I have looked inside the case and can see no obstructions, can the bobbin case be adjusted to allow more room for the bobbin to run.?
I just bought a 134-0-6, in really good shape. I enjoy your videos. I am having trouble with getting the stitch length as long as it will go. Will trying to fix a canvas tent trailer, it almost severed the rubber seal the stitches were so tiny. Any idea. Thanks Dave in Algonquin Highlands Ontario
Hi I bought a PFAFF 134-0-6 last summer 2023. I was wondering where you buy the bobbins and extra parts like the feed dogs and needle plates and stuff you show in this video ?
I picked up a 134 a couple of years ago. It can use the same bobbin as the Pfaff 130, which are widely available. Love my 130, but the 134 is clearly superior and far more powerful.
Hey Sergeant, I just recently bought a Pfaff 134-6/2bs and it looks just your machine. As I was cleaning it I could not figure out how to clean out the gear box in the top of the machine. The bottom was easy. There seems to be no way to take it out on the top. I can take it apart, but not out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Everything is so close together. Thanks.
I know this is a long shot but I have a Model # 134e-6 /2bs without a motor and am having trouble finding a P/N for the motor. Would you be able to tell me the P/N that is on yours?
Hello,Sergeant:i just have seen your film about the Pfaff 134-0-6 ,wich a also have bought a few days ago,and it is fitted with a clutch-motor of 370w / 0,5hp.......(i also have a 262 model wich i bougt for 30,- including table and another 262 for spare parts) This machine was not used for at least 10 years,an the metal foot and pedal is completely rosted and not to refit,(for a few years the dog of the owner pissed over this machines foot.......) so i have to replace this with 3 new metal u-profiled pieces and weld it together. (price for the profiles is 4,50 per meter ,ant then another 10,- fot the paint) I have bought tis machine for euro 50,- wich is about $65,- i think. I dont have spare parts but i have the 3-way transporter atached, and the bobin of the 262,and other foots fits also, and so i make a good deal ! I think this machines are more to find in europe than in the us,so tht wil say a lot over the cheap prices to pay here. Question: are the leather-needles the rond ones or are these the trangle-needles like with other machines? Greetings from Heerlen Holland John
Hi Sergeant, unfortunatly de clutch moter of the 134-0-6 i was gonna pick up broke down, so i didn't pick the machine up and bought a old Husqvarna en doing the interior seats in regular solid fabric. OLDER TEXT (tx from Holland for your verry positive and helpfull video. (I am at the point that i want to buy Pfaff 134-0-6 for car upholstery applications for a few car seats. I get the machine next friday and i got a few questions that you may can and/or will tell. First question is: do you really need a roller foot for thin leather applications? My second question is: i noticed that a roller foot is not easy to find on the internet. Do you know if the roller feet from other brands are usefull on this machine? Can you please help? TX)
My heart sunk when you said Sacramento. I'm in Pennsylvania and would buy that machine on the spot. Really brilliant video. You're my new hero! I'm with you on clutch motors! I have a consew 206RB that I love and hate. It has problems ; (. You're brilliant to have shared so much really good info, I was clueless about so many points you hit. Cheers! I am curious what you're asking for the machine?
Thanks for the awesome video. My husband bought me a 134, the machine is in great shape, I don't know much about it, that is why I watched your video, I have it stitching but the bottom has some looping, I am thinking bobbin tension? Also this machine has bobbins that look like what I use on my regular machine. Could it be the wrong bobbins? Do you know if I can get the hinge pin anywhere (from table to machine).
Hello, I love your video. I bought a fpaff 134 which sewed great when I tried it out to buy it. When I got it home, It keeps puckering on the bottom stitch. I'm not sure what the long thing that is on the outside of the bobbin called, but it keeps catching the thread form the bobbin. I tried adjusting my tension but it didn't really make a difference. Can you help me please. Thank You Ellie
+Ellie Marcotte When the bobbin is in the bobbin case and you pull the thread does it come out smoothly? You want a little bit of tension but you don't need much. Also, try a different bobbin. Some bobbins aren't perfectly round and will tighten rub the sides of the case creating additional tension as it goes around. The part on the outside of the bobbin is called the bobbin tension spring. It should be held down by two screws. Google "Pfaff 130 manual" and look at the diagram to see the thread path for the bobbin. Hope that helps! Goodluck!!
Danke
Ciobanu George I never sewed veg tan leather with this machine but it shouldn't have a problem with 7 oz. Not sure what kind of products you're planning on sewing but you want might to look into a roller foot like the one shown in the video.
@@thesergeant3524 the 34 and the 134 are not the same. The 34 has an oscillating hook whereas the 134 has an full rotary hook. The 34 is the straight stitch version of the 134 whereas the 38 is the same to the 138. Both the 34 & the 38 were dropped quietly except for some special versions in favour of the 134/138 series which were essentially Singer 96's made by watchmakers. These machines are indeed flawless when used as intended.
Hi, Sergeant -- I just bought one of these (along with a 138). I tried to PM you but YT isn't allowing me to do so. Do you recommend a generic bobbin case for the 134 (the original is missing) or should I buy a genuine Pfaff, preferably vintage?
Iggy Reilly I always try and get original parts when I can, assuming it's not overly cost prohibitive, but I've used the new generic Pfaff bobbin cases without issue. If you can find an original at a reasonable cost, go for it, it not, you'll be fine with the generics. Congrats! Both are great machines!
thesergeant Thanks very much for your help. I'll use a generic until I can find the real deal. Yeah, it's a sweet machine. The only reason I bought the 134 is because the seller would only sell them together. I now realize they complement each other perfectly for my needs and I'm tempted to say the 134 is actually the better machine (for what it is). I'm very impressed with it. And great video, as usual!
Hi, i´m Chris from Germany. I also have a 134-0-6 since today and tried it out. Becasue of your Video, i could find many things that i didn´t know before, e.g. how to put the filament into the machine. Now, i hope you can help to solve this Problem: The upper filament always gets cut after 4-6 stitches and i don´t know why. Even if there is no filament in the lower coil with the coil set in. Thanks a lot for your answer. best wishes, Chris
First thing, is make sure the needle is correctly inserted. You want the front of the needle (the side with the long vertical groove) facing the left of the machine, which the scarf (small cutaway) facing the left. Replace the needle as it may have a bur. Also, make sure your needle size and thread are correctly matched. T30 with 80 or 90 needle is a good starting point. If you're still shredding thread your machine might be out of time, that is the hook, which catches the 'loop' of the upper thread isn't set correctly. You want the point of the hook to intersect the needle 2.0mm above bottom dead center. Once that is set you want to set the needlebar height so that the hook point is 1.5mm above the eye of the needle. Goodluck!
thesergeant Hello, regarding to your answer, i took a look at the needle and recognized, that there was a needle built in, with a flat side, like Singer and most other use it. In my Pfaff, i need a needle, with round shaft. So i bought a new one, inserted it correctly and it works very fine. Full speed in denim, no problem. Thanks a lot for your help and also for the video. Great!
Plans as in measurements or plans like future plans to make a video on how the table is made? No paper plans unfortunately. I wasn't planning on doing a video but I'll keep it in mind the next time I make one.
Great video. ik have the same machine, but ik have some troubles, i bet it's more that i do things wrong or it needs some adjustments. Is there a way i can contact you with some questions. greetings Brian

great review! I have a 234K-6B question: when you tilt the machine up to look at the hook, doesn't the belt prevent you from doing that?
Thanks! The motor is actually set behind the machine and not directly below so you can tilt the machines backwards to get access.
Hello Sergeant,
I’ve got a machine like this. Can you please tell me what size is from the v belt?

I just purchased a Pfaff. The metal plate on the front has 34-6 stamped on it. Is that a 134? It's an industrial machine.
As far as I know they're the same. The 34 is the predecessor to the 134 and is a great machine. Congrats!
