This is a very useful video. I have a concert size ukulele that I’m just learning to play, and so to start with music involving only three or four chords sounds ideal. I like your strumming technique. I have a lot to work on to get the strumming, right, but I know in time and with practice I should be able to do fine.

I actually found A > Gbm > D > E7 > A a lot easier as a beginner. Just uses the first two frets! A video on these chords might help people :D

Do you do the classic down down up up down up for this song or do you use your own pattern

Yeah that is the pattern I’m using on the uke. The other thing you hear is a guitar finger picking pattern.

The ukulele pattern is the D DU UDU. It’s also known as the island strum.
