I know this was released ages ago. I still can't get over the fact that actual cast took part in making of this. I mean, there must be other shows, that have cast so cool, that when parody is being made, they want to participate. But I know about this one show. And I love it.
At the time they shot this video, Sam was in the middle of doing his first or second Always Keep Fighting tshirt fundraiser, so I think here he was doing a combination of playing off the crazy fangirls thing and also showing off the shirt he was selling at the time. I think it was the first AKF shirt actually, and the only one I couldn't get.

Have you heard about covid 19? So you go to canada and stay in quarantine for 2 weeks then you come back to the usa and you sit another 2 weeks in quarantine just to star in one or two scenes of the series and you are complaining that the cast did not gather for this purpose? that people didn't sacrifice a month of their lives just to appear on the screen for 5 or 10 seconds?
Remember, TV restarted shooting before we had vaccines. The regulations for social distancing and “bubbled” production would have made large numbers of people on camera very difficult… and that is assuming that the production could even have afforded salaries for the three weeks, plus accommodations. The actors are people too - there are young children at home or interrupted projects restarting. Personally for me, the saddest thing is that the broader cast and crew family were totally robbed of what should have been an *epic* series wrap celebration. Here’s hoping that the VanCon 22 will deliver that for them all.
@@Thefellomens no they wouldn't have. Many of them, like Jeffrey, were just getting back to filming on shows/movies that they were CONTRACTED to. They can't break contract just to satisfy the fand of a show they were on for a brief time. They'd be sued for breaking contract. Also, Samantha Smith was battling cancer. And a few others had newborns/pregnant wives, and ill family members, they couldn't risk 1) being away from or 2) bringing something back. These people are ACTORS. It's their jobs, not their lives.

First time I watched this parody I didn't know who Kevin was... And watching it now, I was like - can it be??!(Had to check the comments to for confirmation)
The actual "Shake it off" song came on during gym class a few months ago but I don't know the words to that so I was singing the Supernatural parody instead while everyone looked at me like I was insane

The most relatable and accurate to Deans character is when he talks about how he keeps saying hes fine and then dances through the pain while eating a burger as if nothings wrong
Now that I'm halfway through season 10, I have to say the accuracy of this parody kind of hurts. It's basically just a condensed version of exactly everything that's happened, and how stupid Dean's been. I was laughing at the scene where he chops off Cain's hand, just like, okay, this is as silly as it looked in the music video. I'm hoping season 11 will be better.
allpossibleworlds Dean has been reckless, sure. But not stupid. In order to finish Abaddon, it was necessary to use the first blade, which cannot be used without the Mark. Yes, he was hasty and did not bother to listen to Cain's warning while getting it, but tbh, even after hearing it, he would still have to get it anyway. And yes it had to be him, as Cain said, the mark could only go to someone worthy i.e. a killer. Dean's been killing for good. And he is of either Cain or Abel's Bloodline. So he was the best candidate to pass on the Mark without mass destruction. Even though there are some lapses, he does fight the Mark mostly. Most others would give in.
Killing Abaddon isn't much of an advantage if the price is you become an almost immortal being/potential demon with a need to constantly kill. And if you manage to get rid of the mark, the darkness inside just gets released and wreaks as much havoc if not more than Abaddon would have done. But to be fair, I suppose it's not really Dean being stupid so much as the writing. I finished the season now and am just really unimpressed. This had the potential to be an intriguing storyline and it just fell kind of flat, in my opinion. Yeah, maybe it was inevitable that Dean was going to get the mark, but they could have led into it better. Dean is old enough and experienced enough by now to not be so impulsive making a decision. Having Cain in only two episodes and then killing him off, I found that disappointing. I thought he was an interesting character and would have liked to learn more about him and his backstory. So many scenes of Sam and Dean having the same stupid argument about the mark and could Dean be saved. Sam being selfish and paying whatever price necessary to save Dean... Sam should know better too, or at least be more hesitant about some of the things he's doing. Sam saying, "We've been down this road before". Exactly, Sam, and it's a shitstorm. You made the wrong decisions while hopped up on demon blood, now you're gonna make the wrong decisions again? I don't expect the brothers to be perfect, but they should at least grow, learn from some of their mistakes. Charlie's death... I'm not going to get into the "was it necessary" debate, but aside from that it was so poorly done. And super weird how they just tossed her body on the pyre without seeing if Cass could heal her. I'm assuming he couldn't because of the grace that he lost to the spell that Metatron cast, but that was not made clear in the episode at all. I suppose it was implied in that one where he couldn't heal Claire's mother, but when I watched that episode, I assumed it was because she had been injured by a Grigori and they were more powerful than regular angels. Really the season wasn't very clear about the parameters of Cass' limited grace, and it just seemed like the Winchesters completely forgot cheating death is a thing they've done hundreds of times. The season plodded through and repeated the boring stuff, and rushed through or abandoned the interesting stuff in my opinion. And left too many blanks in the plot for the viewer to fill in. Anyway, sorry this got so long.
But that's the point. Abaddon was already an (almost)immortal demon that was going around killing people. We heard her plans, she wanted to wage war on heaven and earth. What would be the point of stopping the apocalypse if it was to be unleashed in just another way? Yes I agree though, they should have led into it better. It felt really rushed. As for Cain, I totally agree with you. They just wasted such an interesting character, who tbh, they could easily have made into the big bad of season 10. Charlie's Death was unnecessary, imo, and at the very least she deserved much better than some second-rate villains. Overall, I liked S09-10, but I agree it did suck at places.
Yeah, I think we're pretty much on the same page haha. I just wasn't really thinking initially about how unfortunately Dean getting the mark was necessary. I think I kind of forgot that because of how rushed it was, and also binge-watching television fries my brain.
7 years ago this parody is what convinced me to finally watch the show. Knowing the cast actually got involved, seeing they actually cared about and liked each other, I knew this would be a good series to get into. So glad I did.
Came back after ages, still impressed that they got the cast included but MOST OF ALL i gotta appreciate how amazingly good their acting is. The gestures, the movement, the facial expressions, it's all spot on.

I know what the shirt represents and I, myself have depression so I know exactly how it is. I thought it was funny before you told me. I said it looked funny, I mean that it did. I love that he gives mental illness attention because I didnt tell anyone til' I was 14 and I got it when I was 8 and I love him for that. I do not think the campaign is funny in any way possible.
I am watching this for the first time in YEARS and i got chills and teared up. I couldn't stop smiling. i love the other one so much too but this one meant alot to me then and now. When it came out, i used to listen to this specific video religiously; it was even the lyrics that i would sing when i would sing Shake it Off to myself. I had the whole VIDEO memorized, even the end-dialogue (apparently i still do). Watching it again after all this time, was so surreal.

I actually saw the second one for the first time today, it was a recommended vid and just watched this one and I loved both of them. I think it’s so awesome that so many of the cast members even ones from the earlier seasons agreed to do them, I’ll bet they had alot of fun making them.

The most relatable and accurate to Deans character is when he talks about how he keeps saying hes fine and then dances through the pain while eating a burger as if nothings wrong
Now that I'm halfway through season 10, I have to say the accuracy of this parody kind of hurts. It's basically just a condensed version of exactly everything that's happened, and how stupid Dean's been. I was laughing at the scene where he chops off Cain's hand, just like, okay, this is as silly as it looked in the music video. I'm hoping season 11 will be better.
allpossibleworlds Dean has been reckless, sure. But not stupid. In order to finish Abaddon, it was necessary to use the first blade, which cannot be used without the Mark. Yes, he was hasty and did not bother to listen to Cain's warning while getting it, but tbh, even after hearing it, he would still have to get it anyway. And yes it had to be him, as Cain said, the mark could only go to someone worthy i.e. a killer. Dean's been killing for good. And he is of either Cain or Abel's Bloodline. So he was the best candidate to pass on the Mark without mass destruction. Even though there are some lapses, he does fight the Mark mostly. Most others would give in.
Killing Abaddon isn't much of an advantage if the price is you become an almost immortal being/potential demon with a need to constantly kill. And if you manage to get rid of the mark, the darkness inside just gets released and wreaks as much havoc if not more than Abaddon would have done. But to be fair, I suppose it's not really Dean being stupid so much as the writing. I finished the season now and am just really unimpressed. This had the potential to be an intriguing storyline and it just fell kind of flat, in my opinion. Yeah, maybe it was inevitable that Dean was going to get the mark, but they could have led into it better. Dean is old enough and experienced enough by now to not be so impulsive making a decision.
Having Cain in only two episodes and then killing him off, I found that disappointing. I thought he was an interesting character and would have liked to learn more about him and his backstory. So many scenes of Sam and Dean having the same stupid argument about the mark and could Dean be saved. Sam being selfish and paying whatever price necessary to save Dean... Sam should know better too, or at least be more hesitant about some of the things he's doing. Sam saying, "We've been down this road before". Exactly, Sam, and it's a shitstorm. You made the wrong decisions while hopped up on demon blood, now you're gonna make the wrong decisions again? I don't expect the brothers to be perfect, but they should at least grow, learn from some of their mistakes.
Charlie's death... I'm not going to get into the "was it necessary" debate, but aside from that it was so poorly done. And super weird how they just tossed her body on the pyre without seeing if Cass could heal her. I'm assuming he couldn't because of the grace that he lost to the spell that Metatron cast, but that was not made clear in the episode at all. I suppose it was implied in that one where he couldn't heal Claire's mother, but when I watched that episode, I assumed it was because she had been injured by a Grigori and they were more powerful than regular angels. Really the season wasn't very clear about the parameters of Cass' limited grace, and it just seemed like the Winchesters completely forgot cheating death is a thing they've done hundreds of times. The season plodded through and repeated the boring stuff, and rushed through or abandoned the interesting stuff in my opinion. And left too many blanks in the plot for the viewer to fill in.
Anyway, sorry this got so long.
But that's the point. Abaddon was already an (almost)immortal demon that was going around killing people. We heard her plans, she wanted to wage war on heaven and earth. What would be the point of stopping the apocalypse if it was to be unleashed in just another way? Yes I agree though, they should have led into it better. It felt really rushed. As for Cain, I totally agree with you. They just wasted such an interesting character, who tbh, they could easily have made into the big bad of season 10. Charlie's Death was unnecessary, imo, and at the very least she deserved much better than some second-rate villains. Overall, I liked S09-10, but I agree it did suck at places.
Yeah, I think we're pretty much on the same page haha. I just wasn't really thinking initially about how unfortunately Dean getting the mark was necessary. I think I kind of forgot that because of how rushed it was, and also binge-watching television fries my brain.
7 years ago this parody is what convinced me to finally watch the show. Knowing the cast actually got involved, seeing they actually cared about and liked each other, I knew this would be a good series to get into.
So glad I did.

I know what the shirt represents and I, myself have depression so I know exactly how it is. I thought it was funny before you told me. I said it looked funny, I mean that it did. I love that he gives mental illness attention because I didnt tell anyone til' I was 14 and I got it when I was 8 and I love him for that. I do not think the campaign is funny in any way possible.
