3 years late, but: the top speed of all vehicles in GTA V is ~235 km/h. It's limited by the performance of the Xbox 360 to avoid severe pop-in, and is the same on all the other platforms despite the lack of cross-platform multiplayer. You can see this during the "obtain the highest landspeed" events, where everyone ends up with the same speed. Thus tuning the cars merely make them accelerate faster, but doesn't change their top speed, and otherwise can improve handling and braking for some of the cars. Also a monocoque technically has no chassis, as the frame and body of the car is the same thing. The outer shell of the car is generally classified as "skirting", as it merely serves to make it more aerodynamic and has no structural purpose

I think it would be better to have something like night club. have three to four players scatter across the map and set it up like a ABC checkpoint system. then the racers make their own route
