    we stopped testosterone at the same time. your video made me feel a lot better about myself... knowing someone is going through the same journey that I am.

    This video will be so helpful for people going through a similar process. Of course everybody will be different, but uncertain medical things can be really lonely and isolating so not feeling alone can make a big difference x

    Thank you SO MUCH for these two videos. The more detransitioners have the courage to tell their stories, the more other people will have the courage to turn back if transition isn't solving their emotional difficulties.

    That "scent" you referred to is minor, unless you shower infrequently. It's your body's way of cleaning itself. It's good, don't villainize, a natural proces. All menstruating people go through this! You're just fine;)

    Thank you for your bravery. Just the decision to detransition would have been a huge one to make, let alone sharing it in such an open manner. Please know that your bravery is acknowledged, and appreciated.... without such stories, we get the impression that everybody who starts on hormones lives happily ever after, and that "detransition is a myth" - and when there is no such thing as detransition, the medical community feels justified in continuing to insist that medical transition is the best, indeed the ONLY, way to manage gender dysphoria.

      It is the only way to treat gender dysphoria.
      The question is diagnosing what gender dysphoria is, though. A lot of people get it confused with other emotions or types of pain, and if you’re not emotionally intelligent, don’t your yourself well, don’t have a good therapist, etc. it’s very possible to be misdiagnosed.
      But if you truly have gender dysphoria and you weren’t misdiagnosed, then yes, the only treatment is transition.

    How do you identify now?

    • @silasmgonz
      @silasmgonz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Unfortunately, I still have the trauma; it doesn't just go away... so in public, I tend to identify as "male" (just because it feels safer, and because it's what I've been used to for years now and what's marked on my license). I hope, one day, to be able to be comfortable enough in myself to possibly start identifying as "female" again...

    • @user-wh8qx1xi3k
      @user-wh8qx1xi3k 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@silasmgonz I want you to know that, once you’ve worked through your trauma, it’s completely possible your discomfort with being female may still be there. It’s just as possible it won’t be, but please don’t force yourself to do anything you’re uncomfortable with. It sounds like you still have a lot of stuff going on and either way you should have all of the support you could possibly ever need. Whether you’re male or female, you deserve to have the resources to heal and go through life in whichever way is most comfortable for you.
      If you really are trans, nothing you can possibly do will ever make the discomfort with being female go away- ever. Even if you heal from your trauma. So take your time, go at your own pace, be very careful with big life decisions, and be sure of yourself before you take any big steps, whether they be detransition or transition related. I hope you’re not trans, because if you are, then life is going to be very complicated for you. But if you are and you ignore it, that will make the matter ten times worse.
      Best of luck, please take care. I wish you well and good luck
