I can help explain it to you. Every year they announce when the wildcard submissions begin. Wildcards meaning a 2 minute video you submit to try and qualify. They pick the top however many. For example this year I believe was 12 and they had 6 other beatboxers qualify from winning other battles. So a total of 18 beatboxers in the solo category this year qualified. Now at the grand beatbox battle, each of these 18 have a four minute performance called a solo elimination. All 5 judges rank these solo eliminations and the best 8 of those solo eliminations qualify for battles. You can think of this as a seeding system. That’s where the quarterfinals begin with those 8. First seed against eight second seed vs 7th and so forth. After quarter finals is semi finals. Then there is a third place battle for the losers of the semis, called a small final, and then of course the grand final or championship. I know this was a lot of info, but hope it helps!

@@KDretheGreat FYI for 2021, they took 16 from elims instead of 8, I think the reasoning was cuz they missed 2020 cuz of Covid but idk for sure, either way that's why 2021 has a larger bracket compared to other years.

For loopstation I would recommend watching the grand final for 2017, then watching quarter finals and semi finals of 2018 then every battle from 2019 onwards. For solo I would recommend checking out Alexinho vs Two h in 2017. And then every battle from 2018 onwards. Much love my guy, you’re killing it.

I’d recommend going through the 2021 GBB competition. You can do the solo, tag team, and Loopstation categories. SBX is still releasing 2023 footage and it’s a slow roll.
2021 had an amazing slate of artists and some legendary battles. Plus, you’ve already done a couple 2021 battles. I think you did helium vs inertia and colaps vs Zeka.
SBX has a whole playlist for the 2021 solo categories. Should make it easy to navigate

Ok so, i'm not sure if you still find it confusing, but anyway here's a quick explanation to how the solo category works:
A lot of beatboxers and basically anyone can submit a wildcard video to swissbeatbox, these wildcards are gonna be judged and qualify for the entry level of GBB, along with winners of other competitions that didn't have to submit their wildcard videos.
Then, on stage by themselves, each of these beatboxers that qualified for gbb, will perform their elimination rounds, which again, will be judged by the judge panel, and only 16 of them will move on to the actual battles, already in the quarter finals.

I knew you'd really love the comrade in this one. I was going to suggest it but wasn't sure if you were going to check out the most previous GBB.
As far as how and when to pick what to watch I would just make a masterlist and that let the random numbers generator pick it. Though if you happen to stumble upon a Beatboxer who had a great series during said year it's from probably best to watch the whole series, like within that same week or something.
Yea it’s a lot plus balancing Harry Mack’s lol but imma take it a step at a time from 2017 and work my way up. Perhaps I’ll sprinkle the new ones that are being dropped. The playlist helps alot so imma knock it out by playlist.
