- As Gunpla hobbyists, we were honored to meet ED, a veteren Gundam builder who brought a few of his builds and dioramas to New York Comic Con. We take a look at his Steam Siege action scene, a scratch build seven months in the making. ED also gives us a few tips for getting the most out of your Gundam kits.

Ahhh! It was so awesome meeting you guys at NYCC! Thanks so much for the interview guys, glad you liked it!
Amazing interview Jordan!
Gratz on getting on Tested Ed!
GET ITTTTT!!!! GO JORDAN!!!
You've earned a sub from me, great interview.
You're very well articulated and a great speaker for the hobby!! Congrats on this opportunity man!!
So cool to see Ed being an ambassador of Gunpla. I love his work, and it's great seeing it in HD video. ^.^
Good to see such a pillar of the community getting a place to broadcast how fun Gunpla is
I would love more gunpla on tested. Gunpla kits are so wonderfull to put together...
MrDraakos are they similar to the sodo kits Kamen rider build did? or is gunpla completely different?
@@thefiregodzapp They're different. Gunpla parts come on a sprue that you need to cut out and put together.
@@thefiregodzapp i haven't built one of those kits, but from what i can find online, yes totally different. gunpla is more a modelkit like airfix or revell. only the parts are molded in color plastic and you need no glue for assembly. you can always go further ofc, like shown in this video.
Only waited 2 years for adam to build a rx78-2 PG unleashed.
I need Adam to build gunpla
I need Adam to *Customize* Gunpla, I wanna see what he can do
Congrats Ed, Tested is the best!
Awesome to see Ed on here!!! His work has always been great
Amazing stuff!! So proud to see Gundam in the spotlight, and especially one of the best builders out there! I also volunteered at that booth to spread the love of gunpla and to help others learn to build.
As a gundam/gunpla fan I love this! Great to see the hobby get exposure.
Yes finally something about gunpla. The world of gunpla is amazing and I hope more people see this and get into it. One of the best hobbies.
Gunpla is freedom!!!!.....
Fantastic diorama for sure! I love the creativity of using model trains with Gundam. Fabulous stuff!
Fantastic!
why tf are you makin him hold it the whole time, place it on a table or some shit
just from a glance around them I doubt theres any space, gunpla requires space to build, regardless the grade...
I came here as soon as I heard about it in Ed's stream. Very cool interview!
WOW! So much great detail in this! ❤️
Hope Jordan finally gets hired on by Norfolk Southern!
Awesome work, Jordan!
Such an awesome build.
Great job from Ed and great interview. If anyone deserves to have some spotlight it's Ed 🙂. Thanks for putting this together Tested.
Absolutely amazing work
I love this! I wanted to do a little gundam diorama on my otherwise perfectly normal and realistic OO scale model railway but got turned off by scale differences. I might revive that idea now.
Fantastic work
Proud of our boy Ed ❤️
Amazing work.
Good work Ed!
Jordan inspired me with Gunpla his work is fantastic!
My cousin brought the same model as the huge one from Japan when she visited a couple of months ago. I volunteered to assemble it and after 12 hours when I finally finished it, I felt a lot of satisfaction. I've ordered 2 models of my own I wanna make into a diorama, if anyone who's into this happens upon this comment I'd love some direction towards useful resources to help me get started
Awesome! Just want to say thanks for spreading the word about Gunpla, or plastic crack as we like to call it. It needs more love, and attention - to make it a global thing. A hobby for everyone that likes giant mechs
Damn that's so sick :) kinda wish Norman knew more about what he was interviewing about, stuff like not calling all the mobile suits gundam and 1/144 generally not being MG scale.
I just put my first Gunpla together last night!!!
What kit did you build?
Kudos, now build more! Leos are cheap right now, easy to get too... as are the regular GMs... it gets pricier the fancier the suit or rarity of the model in question... Plan ahead and you too can have an awesome squadron of mobile suits and mobile armors.... could even shell out for one of the ships from the series to serve as their carrier! ^.^
congratulations! welcome to the gunpla world!
@@Feiora I recommend no-grade 1/100 Iron blooded orphans line because it's very, very cheap, highly articulated, simple to build, and it is compatible with other ibo kit
@@blitzmustang1588 I tried a MG 1/100 and... its still not finished, plus I ended up with a mangled hand due to the flimsy ball joints... TBH, IBO isn't all that appealing to me especially with the oddball mobile suit designs, at least with the older suits they have this certain... appeal ya know? (Plus I'm a sucker for mono-eyes ^.^)
That is amazing! I wish I could create stuff like this
Awesome! It's this kind of detailed work that inspired me to make dioramas. In fact I've put up my first two build walkthroughs on my channel.
High Eye Workshop hey your work is impressive, I just subbed!
@@mrstarfishh33 cheers, mate!
Wow, your videos are great. I'm going to share your channel with my friend who's looking to make dioramas..
Sick build
Wow that's nothing short of incredible.
Gunpla is freedom!!!!!
gunpla!!!! more of this on tested!!!!
Sick diorama
That was incredible.
Sick gundam made it on tested!
I love the zeong!!!
Massive coincidence that I'm just building my first Gundam at the moment :)
I saw this thing at gundamplanet store. It was awesome
We need more Adam
I LOVE Gundam !!!
you know what well get more people into Gundam building... another good Gundam show. (although Iron-Blooded Orphans was pretty ok. I feel like the more it leans on the hard militaristic aspect the more nitch it is)
Stark's Reality curious what you consider good gundam? Also by its nature it’s pretty hard military... giant mechs for war and all.
Gundam 00 is getting a new season soon and IBO has a new thing coming as wel.
Omg! So cool such amazing
That’s a really cool zeong model made out of train parts
It's nice to see dad he bold and brash
That's awesome.
That's Fan-Dazzle, the detailing is tremendous.
Amazing
Get em Ed!
LOVE UR VIDS MAKE MORE OF ITTT
This is unrelated to the video but I had a build idea I wanted to share because I think you're the most likely to pull it off.
Essentially a drone flamethrower.
Watched a video of someone attacking a wasp nest with a drone and thought "why not fire?"
I imagine the fuel source could be a small can of compressed flammable fluid. The pilot light would be the most difficult however. High winds don't exactly make ignition easy, so I'm not such how to overcome that part. Maybe a remote torch butane lighter? Balancing the weight vs the lift of the drone could also present some trouble. So control-wise; an activator for the pilot light, on/off control on the fuel source in addition to standard drone controls.
Be interested to hear your thoughts.
That would be the territory of PeterSriopl or Colin Furze. Given the base of operations of Tested is California, that would entail some legal and bureaucratic haggling for it to be done.
Damn that diorama is awesome...👍😎
The zeong model.. nice.. what are the other two models on the diorama ?
This should of won GBWC - the model is SO GOOD and he is such a cool dude 😎🤖
Did you all ever finish that PG kit you were working on?
Woo Ed!
Love it
Love it 💝
I'd really buy this!
odd how things appear almost as you think it. Just began building models again, was looking at the Gundam ones at a shop the other day and this morning was looking up info about them. WOW, weird stuff.
I hate robots but I love trains, great video!
I think Adam should try to make a 1 day build wargaming army project, like a warhammer one,or a 3d printed army
rhodokartillery aka afrika Or he could build a couple of Gunpla kits and make a Mobile Suit Skirmish squad.
Oh didn't know this was posted on my birthday
I personally want to see someone kitbash a Perfect Grade mobile suit (Gundam or Regular) imagine having a PG Mobile Suit thats been kitbashed with Warhammer 40k parts! (could use it to stand in for a titan)
Bello!
Finally did a gundam
Simple Airbrush and it has up'd my build to a whole new level. Neo Air tiny little low psi Airbrush 170$
Wouawe😯.....awesome 😛
If I am not mistaken this guy actually works for a railroad now
I would like to see Adam Savage put together a gunpla for I believe it would be a magnificent piece. Other than that gunpla is pop culture at it's finest.
"Zeong Punk"💀🔥🔥
Anybody remember Zoids? We need them back, especially in the states 😩
nice
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhh
Gunpla is awesome but I wish this many people were into the Zoids scene as well.
same
Too expensive
I thought Norm was about to kiss the dude at the end.
Wow, Jordan, huh... She's so beautiful
Please god let me meet her
Set that somewhere safe! These people pushing by are making me anxious!
Norm is the Jimmy Fallon of Tested. For real lol. But it's cool.
Norm is a colovaginal fistula.
Hallo! 👋
just gotta say ed is kind of weirdly attractive
You made that poor guy hold that for the whole video huh?
More Gundam stuff please.
Train man strikes again.
HEY THIS GUYS ON A FACEBOOK PAGE I FOLLOW! like thats a big deal... cool to me though! :D
0:48 a crossbone gundam had to die just to get that skull
I don't see Volcanion anywhere in there.
;)
N scale :)
Don't make him stand there holding it while all those people mill around!
Sooner or later he'll catch an elbow and drop it!
I saw this in real life
Its in New Jersey
"3 GUNDAM" please Correct yourself sir
I don't care for Gundam or Japanese Mecha in general but he does quality work.
I love building gunpla kits, but my wallet doesnt ;~;
All it would have taken, was some doofus with a big bag walking past......KERRRKRASH. Great build though, just put it somewhere safe.
Check out the Gundam championship happening now in Malaysia here th-cam.com/video/SAPS6g79oYA/w-d-xo.html
Great video, great guy, great work... Fucking hate gundam.
