25 years ago.... Damn that makes me feel old ... I remember seeing these guys a few times at Maxwell's in Hoboken and I think at Tramps in NYC in high school in the early 90s ... The bass player would always break one of his strings in the middle of the sho
All these bands like AOL fr early-mid 90s just under the fringe of Nirvana/PJam/SGarden/Tool/STP/Pumpkins/AIC, ect were what posers fr 1999-2002 tried to sound like. I mean, after Sunny Day Real Esate album in 1992. Don't even attempt emo again. Or Weezer debut 94 album. 2 best albums ever. Then Weezer went shit

Bro you like Soulfly, Kitty, and Mudvayne, shut the fuck up. You're clearly mislead on how the music business operates. Not everyone who signs a deal gets millions of dollars for it, especially if they're indie. These kind of bands are a niche that only certain people enjoy. No major label executive or recruiter would have thought anything about them because they just don't have mass appeal. Archers of Loaf are very much a cult band.
because archers of loaf is a cult band from raleigh sc and merge records was started by another guy from a different cult band in that area to put out records for bands from that area
One of their best. Shame they didn't do it this tour.
Still slaps in 2022. They were actually asked to scrap this song and Eric basically told the guy he was weird.
My favorite Archers of Loaf song. "Look at that slobber / looks like goiter"
neato-bandito! 😃
That feels so good, one of the best.
That's another thing, not a damn thing wrong with 25 killer tunes. Done.
Never get tired of these guys!
Awesome.
Is that Mac from Superchunk/Merge singing on the bridge? “It’s the running source...”. I’ve always wondered since I first heard this 25 years ago.
Nope, it's the bassist, Matt Gentling.

Search for "Archers of Jack" and you can see my son dancing to this song. Hehehehe
What venue is this, boys and girls? Saw them at Lounge Ax in Chicago eons ago. So so dope.
Crocodile Cafe 96'?
@@noramsharp2793 I can confirm the venue and the year is probably also correct.
Excellent song
The liner notes for this are hilarious. They dont expand or contract!
do you know literally anything about the history of indie? like anything?
Posers? Yeah right. They were everything a poser isn't.
