Does anybody know why Jean-Louis Trintignant was not in the group photo the next day, or at the anniversary ceremony in the evening? Did he leave Cannes right after the premiere of Happy End?

Yes, probably health problems. In Cannes, I remember he was walking to the elevator using a cane and others backed him up. Furthermore, back in 2011, when Amour was shot, I read somewhere that even 6 years ago he already had some problems about standing, and he only could stand for a limited time, probably again because of his health.
