- Fortnite Battle Royale tested on the RTX 3050 8GB at 1080p, 1440p and 4K resolutions, using the competitive settings (low + far view distance in performance mode) and the high settings (high preset in DX12).
I also tested Nvidia DLSS!

I think the halo in GOW might be from the antialiasing. I haven't really delved into it much, but it seems to be there in every mode, and adding DLSS or FSR makes it stand out more.

Those indeed are related to antialiasing, there are some artifacts generated when combining certain types of geometry with antialiasign and upscaling.

when i started watching ur video i remembered when i was playing fortnite on my poor gt 520mx and i was getting 60fps on lowest settings with 35% render scale and it was stuttery mess with performance mode btw great video as always!
This game has got so much more demanding. I used to be able to play this game at 1080p high at like 120fps and now it's gone to just under 60
Ikr, it gets unplayable on ps4 especially on creative maps, gotta get a pc soon

Yeah I agree about the stuttering. But how about Assassin's Creed:Origins? Well awful performance with a good GPU which sucks 30fps with a 1650 on medium

This game gets updated all the time, so theres bound to be issues. Rarely see any issues. locked 120fps 4k low dlss quality on my 3070. RTX 3050 isn't a great card, just a 1660ti with minimal rtx and dlss. I'd consider it a moderately strong low end card.

kryzzp , I play fortnite a lot myself and the stutters arent because you're in the start of the match , it's because you have uncapped fps , if you cap it the stutters will stop

Yeah it's a good card for esports/ very well optimized titles.
don't consider msrp, because nvidia is selling it more expensive to aib's and their msrp for it is higher than the advertised 250.

I'm helping a friend to build a PC with the 3050 & a 1440P/165Hz monitor. What do you think the FPS would be like with Medium settings/High AA in DX12?
If the 3050 is not enough, maybe the 3060 would fit the bill?
Somewhere close to what I got at 1080p high, maybe a bit less.
I think the 3060 is a good step up for 1440p, you should go with that ;)

@@bustb0y good gpu in general but, the only game that idk why thos gpu doesn't work properly is in fortnite, like with a gtx 1070 I get more stable and higher fps than the 6600.

i just built my pc and i have a 6600 8gb gpu with 16 gb ram and a ryzen 7 3700x. do you have any idea why i cant get a consistent 60 fps on the lowest settings? i can get around 80 fps max settings on cyberpunk no ray tracing and i get 180 fps on apex legends competitive settings.
Try another API, make sure the multithreaded rendering is enabled or whatever it's called in the game's options.
You should be getting way higher than 60, even 100

How do you change the sensitivity from apex to fortnite? It shows in percentages in settings or is there something else
I just use whatever feels comfortable, my sens in fortnite is actually a lot higher than in apex

I have a gt710 and looking for a budget upgrade. Is GTX 1650 a good option in the current market? As many GPUs are out of stock.
It depends on the price, but sure, way better than that 710... Actually, if you uninstall the 710 you'll have more FPS, if your CPU has integrated graphics.
Prices are starting to drop, you might want to wait a bit

Or else you can look for a used but more GPU for a lower price compared to a 1650
@Christopher 6500xt will be painful to use as with i5 10th gen he could be using PCIE 3.0
And 6500xt badly suffers on PCIE 3.0 motherboards
@Christopher i can't agree to your point that its just few FPS loss, it was supposed to beat the previous gen 5500xt but instead it performs less and has less VRAM and secondly most of the upcoming games are going to use more than 4gb VRAM so it will most likely suffer and also it lacks hardware encoder which makes it useless for video rendering and streaming purposes, surely 6500xt could be a good option with PCIE 4.0 over a 1650 but most of the users already wanted to upgrade their GPU who were using PCIE 3.0 motherboard and its not a good option to pay more than MSRP for the card and get performance loss
Also 1650 is not good either as per the price so it's better to wait for new GPUs
@Christopher let me make it clear if you are using PCIE 4.0 then surely 6500xt is way to go but if you're stuck to 3.0 then 6500xt will perform worse and will be bad as 1050ti or even less in 2-3 games and in average performance it will be as good as a 1650 only
So in case of 3.0, 1650 will be a better option as it will support x16 and not x4 like a 6500xt plus it will always have hardware encoder which will always be useful for rendering and streaming purposes no matter if its 3.0 or 4.0
*6500xt is only good if you are on PCIE 4.0* (haven't considered pricing as it will change depending upon where you live and in my country 1650 is slightly cheaper or almost similar priced to 6500xt)

Hello kryzzp, why don't you test ray tracing on fortnite since it supports it? It would be nice if you did that on the 3080 ti.
Maybe usefull for gpu test only .but not.im practice, honestly ray tracing is useless for esport games where every single fps matter
i have a 5600m in my laptop and the software bottle neckes my system aka smart shift as i drop to 40fps while dropping on performance mode

Fortnite chapter 3 is heavily unoptimized. Did some benchmarking and I used to average 900-1200fps last season in my creative map and this season is dropped heavily to 700-1000

In perfomance mode he says the graphics are very low while my current pc runs at 10-15 fps at those settings

I'm getting 350 fps on average with my gtx 1650 and a ryzen 5 3500X... why xD
I've already tested all the settings and it still has 5FPS / 1% LOW drops. My PC is RTX 3050 msi gaming x, i5-10400F, 16GB Ram. Even in performance mode, 720p and locked frames up to 30.
