RM said he brought the melody, Suga brought the beat, and Hoseok brought the word Ddaeng. It's such a great term to build a concept around but Hobi often has really clever concepts like that. All of the rappers were able to run with it in their own directions and it was a really great example of their teamwork!

As an older african American female BTS fan alot of my peers can't understand why I like BTS. First of all let me say this. I have never conformed to stereotypes when it comes to music. I listen to everything. MIC drop was my introduction to BTS and I had to hear more. After having my soul snatched by thier music, the individual members and their stories stole my heart. The one thing I felt that no one recommended to you that you would have LOVED to watch is the Ddaeng behind the scenes, where they were finishing the studio session and mixing of the song and when they were prepping for the festa performance. You really get to see how much V loves this song (spoiler: he's a big fan of this song and the rapline especially Suga 🤣), because while the rappers are performing, you see Jimin and V going absolutely ham in their practice studio just dancing around them and being general hype men. UGH is the most recent song out of the Cyphers & Outro:Tear list. It's on their Map of the Soul: 7 album released in early 2020. I also recommend watching a breakdown of the lyrics for when you get to this one. This song is SUCH A HYPE SONGGGGGG. When you know the meaning behind it and the message they are trying to send, it just makes the song so much more... UGH! (hehe).
