    👍👍👍 .. confirmed, length does matter 😁.
Looking at your earlier test using the little 'puck' burner, the burner appeared to burn with a more 'blue' flame and the boil time was shorter. As I understand 🤞😏 the physics thereof, 'blue' indicates more complete combustion and thus a hotter flame?
I enjoy my Trangia Burner but use it almost exclusively with the Trangia 28 Mini Cook Set that it came with. Others .. a series of 'home-grown' Alcohol Liquid and Gel Burners do the job.
A You Tuber, Hiram Cook, some years back, did some quite comprehensive testing regarding burners, flame heights, etc. Unfortunately, I suspect that he has since 'passed' but his channel is still 'live'. 'Gear Sceptic' also conducts some quite interesting comparative testing. Both are well worth a look-see.
Thanks for the share .. take care ..

That must be it. I have noticed that some jet style burners burn blue and the Trangia always has a lot of yellow. I'll have to dig out some of my jet burners and run some tests.

I hope Hiram is still around, he did announce a few years ago that was going to stop making videos. I really enjoyed his videos.
I watched Gear Sceptic, very thorough and interesting. Way better than anything I could do. 🙂

I riveted sheet metal tabs to the inside of the Trangia pot stand that stick up 3/8 of an inch higher than the stand. Slightly bent out to engage the lip on the pot. Seemed to help reduce time to boil. I used a single rivet so the tabs can be folded into the stand. Might be worth a try...

interesting hack, I'll have to think about doing the same or just use my little round tin burner or both.🙂

With a similar experience with the Trangia T28 Mini, I bought the Micro Light with the gel burner and I add a Vargo Folding Aluminum Windscreen. I will use hexamine solid fuel tablets with it. Thank you for sharing 👍

I bought a bunch of surplus Swedish Army alcohol cook kits decades ago. They have the brass alcohol burner , plastic alcohol storage bottle, and oval shaped black burner stove. I think the oval shape was made to fit the Swedish mess kit.

      They were designed for it.

I enjoyed this experiment, well done.
Sadly I fear Hiram Cook has passed as well, his channel is full of good content. Gear Skeptic really goes into research and provides a great example of science applied to the outdoors.

I hope not, he did announce a few years ago that was going to stop making videos. Sad day I really enjoyed them.
