i think he meant the ball coulda been intercepted if the defender had bothered t turn around and look.
the throw was great, but the target location coulda been intercepted.
my guess is a better throw woulda been over Bateman's head so he could jump catch it and the defender had no chance.
i thought what you were thinking too but decided to try and think maybe Belichek might know what he was talking about.
@@vforwombat9915 you are completely wrong like Belichick, Lamar threw the ball to a place where Bateman could run under it and make a play, if the ball was to be intercepted it would've been because the db got leverage and not because Lamar threw a bad ball, but Belichick was trying to mislead the public and say that it was a bad throw, when it was an anticipatory throw from 40 yards out, people still only give Lamar credit for being an athlete, but when Lamar is "quarterbacky", then they are going to ignore it, discredit it, or just flat out lie about it, smh...

i stand by my guess, that when Belichek said it was a bad throw, he meant it was a bad decision to throw to that spot.
@@vforwombat9915 that's not what you said, Lamar wasn't trying throw a jump ball, he saw a 1 on 1 matchup he liked and threw it to a spot where he felt Bateman could run under and make a play on the football, so it wasn't a bad ball, it was an accurate anticipatory throw by Lamar, but he won't get credit for that, and yes Belichick is like that, like most "analysts", they don't want to accept Lamar being a cerebral player, and i'm tired of people discounting Lamar like that...

i'll say it for the THIRD time, the objection wasn't about it being accurate, it was about it being thrown a short so the defender had a chance at it instead of long where the defender couldn't have intercepted it if he had turned.
that's what i think he was saying, not about it being accurately thrown, and if you go back you'll see the mannings agree w him.
