    Dhanurasana) knees,tied,shins up the wall,rib cage pressing into the bolster,arms gripping the ankles ,toes flexed and trying to take the toes towards the wall was the icing on the cake👌

    Thanks for suggesting this snack! The length is great for people like me who are coming to Iyengar after 20 years or so! Your instruction is crystal clear and the pace is just right. Also appreciate the asanas being given in writing as well as verbally. That really helps with learning the complicated names! Looking forward to more.

    Namaste Cat! Loved/hated the upper arm and forearm work in sirsasana. Lots of fine-tuning needs to happen in my shoulder joints. But comfort comes from seeing this mind pattern before where complete effort is needed while knowing fully that effortlessness comes on its own and not because of the effort.     I loved your class but something particular happened today. I felt so angry in between the session that I almost quit but I remember your words of "pushing yourself" and kept going. I do not know why that happened if only yesterday I felt so good, I was the "king of Yoga" (joking), but today I came back to my reality to be just a rookie.
    Sometimes I feel like in heaven when find that "aha moment", but then the next day, again just back to the earth.
    Fluctuations of mind? back and forward? find a balance? All I know is that I know nothing.

      Good Morning dear Rob. Reading your message over my morning coconut oil infused coffee and pondering what might have made you feel that way yesterday. One thing that comes to mind is something Geeta used to repeat quite often: She said that it was quite common to feel a sense of irritation when the mind/body/brain are integrating new alignments etc. Since this class had quite a few new details in it perhaps that is the cause? But whatever it is I think the most important teaching is to notice our emotional attachment to pleasure and our emotional aversions to displeasure. Ultimately both are just states of mind. Consciousness is neutral. And one of the teachings of regular committed practice is to stay even keeled through the emotional variances. Thus the notion of pushing through. And the more we practice the more aware we become of our mind states... and thus begins the deep training of stepping back - over and over again - from our reactions so to emotions.
      As for knowing nothing - I feel the same all the time. But I like this feeling because it makes me so excited to learn more from a state of constant humbleness. Becoming Beginners the more we 'advance'. Becoming more sensitive. Open. Less rigid in what we think we know and who we think we are...
      Hope some of these words help in some way.

      @@YogawithCat tons of gratitude Cat for taking the time to write those kind words. Of course they help, especially what you mentioned about Geeta. I felt very identified with that situation since recently I've been working in the new alignment of my lower back. And because of that then those irritation feelings come and I begin to think that I have waisted a lot of time for not knowing/correcting that earlier, and then I punish myself with no compassion (I'm still a perfectionist).
      Anyway, I'm still breathing and btw I'm trying hot chocolate with cow milk these days. It looks like the vehicle is responding well.... so far.

      Hello dear you! J.B spiral of the ear is a flow of energy in the ear that helps guide us/and arises when we are in an optimal J.B position. Chin lowered, front throat soft, cervical long and the spiral within the ear spiralling inwards. Gently putting a fingertip in each ear and turning the finger towards the temples will help to give the feeling. Sorry I've been so slow to answer this B! 💛🙏🏼☀️ x me
