But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
    - 1 Peter 2:9
Let us all pray for this kind of heart. Not just as deacons but as Christians. The music we listen to effects our thoughts. Our thoughts effect our actions. You’re right we are all in this world but God calls us to be different. We are all working on this and He will help us. May God help each of us to Glorify Him with our lives.

I agree with what you’re saying, im more so saying people condemning deacons for the same sins they commit is wrong and undeserved.

@@wavytom Yes that is true, people need to mind their own sins.

the real problem is kids are becoming deacons before they learn what it means to be a Christian.

more so the responsibility that comes with becoming a deacon. Christianity is subjective to opinion, and there’s different ways to show what a Christian means, but there’s a specific way to be a deacon.

@@wavytom respectfully bro, christianity isn’t subjective.
infants are baptized early so they can receive the remission of sins & be in the church/kingdom of god whereas converts receive catechism for awhile and then are received. the assumption with infants is that they’ll grow up in the faith and learn it which is another reason why they’re baptized so early on. so when kids in the west are being baptized young and not even going to church, maybe they are but they aren’t learning anything, not even basic catechetical level stuff, they are no where near ready to be a deacon either. memorizing prayers in a language you don’t understand is not what will make you ready to be a deacon which is why the diaconate needs to undergo major change in the west. just my two cents, but good video.

Excuses excuses. That's all I hear. Do deacons struggle? Yes. Are they perfect? No. I understand that people judge deacons harshly even tho that's wrong. But you're trying to justify your imperfections, which is worse. Like you said some turn into dimensions and others crumble. That's okay. From what I see, you crumbled but don't intend to be better. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm judging you but you should just resign. If you don't try to be better that's your only choice.

Wait how did I crumble 😭 I serve every Sunday, actively participate in acts of service, and do my own daily due diligence. Just because I don’t advertise how much of a Christian I am doesn’t mean I’m not a “good Christian”. The comment you posted right here is proving my point that imperfect people trying to judge other people on a perfect standard doesn’t make any sense.

I agree. No one should advertise how good of a Christian they are but what I'm trying to say is that you openly advertise your flaws. I've never met you before but I hear lots of little kids at church discussing and justifying inappropriate behaviors because of you. When I confront them and give them a biblical reason they always respond with "but that deacon on tik tok does it".
If you're so devoted to serving God, why do you choose to be a bad influence to kids? Just like you I struggle with many things but I don't try to normalize my failures.
