I have bought this car and so far, I have watched a few of your reviews and I agree with pretty much everything you say. Especially the transmission, Kia did a really good job with the IVC... I drove the car a lot and honestly, I never noticed the transmission, which is a good thing. I do wish the interior noise was a bit less. I love the wireless Android/Apple car play (the higher trims with bigger screens for some reason require that your phone be plugged into the provided USB port... it's not wireless, so a point for the low trims).
Am I misleaded or most of the Kia reviews (mostly any model) mention high tire and cabin nois. As if the Kia drive feeling was uncessary sporty as if sporty ment boing noisy.
Nice review of a decent crossover! I wonder though, when you can buy a brand new base 2024 Chevy Trax LS for almost 5k cheaper than this 2023 Seltos LX, why buy the Seltos?
Manly because of the size and the AWD. a lot of people will pay for AWD. I personally can’t go back to FWD. especially with the nasty New England weather. You will be fine with FWD but some people they want AWD. the specs are similar but I think another thing people like about Kia is the 10 year warranty. The trax looks good and offers nice features for the price
@fibonaccisequence2891 Also the 1.2 for longevity concerns, comes with a timing belt oil pump belt. Rated at 150k but ford has the same setup in their 1.0 and they're breaking at 100k. New motor is required. I know this as my focus with the 1.0 failed at 113k miles. The cost to replace the wet belts was around 2k and only the dealer would touch it. It's documented quite a bit in the UK as that motor is in a lot of vehicles. I wouldn't keep a vehicle like that unless it has an extended warranty.
@@braetonwilson4296 plus chevrolet took a dip in reliability, their interior quality... not great, plus the general age itself is bad. plus there is not much standard tech on the trax, except where laws require it.
carefull using the techtronic speed with time your cable will break! it happend to me! When it breaks only way to get around is remove the center console and use plier and screw driver! so have a tools box in the car!
we got the exact same model and year here in canada and the fuel consumption is terrible 😞 especially when using cruise control, it always sits on high rpm
not bad at all, the insulation is so good in the cabin, with all the windows up its perfect, especially for my lil new born! We were very excited for this car, it is amazing
That's not a 2024. Mine has an improved dashboard/guages. On the right is a cleaner looking display. Seltos is fun to drive except the regular 4 cylinder is a bit sluggish. The seats are fine, with the exception of the passenger seat being slightly lower than the driver's seat. It's not height adjustable. Very quiet ride.
@EnigmaJGOfficial Although I don't have the turbo, it's a quiet, solid ride. The new design of the dash is great. I have no need for what the status, "cadlliac crowd" drives to impress others.
