Soldering is a process in which two or more items (usually metal) are joined together by melting and putting a filler metal (solder) into the joint, the filler metal having a lower melting point than the adjoining metal. Soldering differs from welding in that soldering does not involve melting the workpieces. Soldering is processed less than 450℃, and brazing is done over 450℃.

Thank you! This is exactly the type of video I've been looking for. It's unfortunately quite difficult to find information on the process

Great video! Very informative. But in 2019, we shouldn't be using leaded solder. Lead poisoning causes learning difficulties, fatigue, vomiting, hearing loss, seizures, and more. Since 2006, leaded electronics are illegal to sell in Europe (RoHS). I'm curious how much money is saved by using leaded solder.

Hi Neal, thank you for the comments. We use lead-free solder in the soldering process. We carefully select raw materials and eliminate all possible substances, which may threat environment. There are no lead, hexavalent chromium, and other hazardous substances in Zaward's components. All our products are REACH and RoHS compliant.
