    Thank you for this. I've been trying to figure out how to put the mist nozzle though screen. I love those gaskets you used.

    are you using plastic wrap in lieu of glass until you're able to get them cut?

    Nice video you basically solved my decision of what to put as a lid to my vivarium the glass with the netting at the end looks great.
    I have one question about the lighting directly on the glass? Does it stand the heat of the bulb do you think this would work the same with a heat bulb?

    • @NorthernFrogger
      @NorthernFrogger  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The CFL's and LED's I use don't get that hot, so they are fine with the glass. I've never used a heat bulb over glass, but I don't think it would work very well. I would worry that the glass would get too hot, and at the same time, it would block a lot of heat coming from the bulb, making it very inefficient.

    I always hade huge troubles with the nozzles clogging up despite using battery water or RO water. Also, did you need to round the corners of the piece of glass since the plastic frame is rounded on the inside?

    • @NorthernFrogger
      @NorthernFrogger  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm I've never really had a problem with clogged nozzles 🤷‍♂️ The glass isn't rounded, I just get it cut a couple millimeters small so there is some wiggle room. It doesn't have to be a perfect fit as the silicone will fill in the gaps.

    Do you put someting on/in the ventilation of the exoterra front doors to prevent the flies from passing through?
    thanks

    Do you know the exact measurements of the piece of glass you use for the 12x12x18?

    • @NorthernFrogger
      @NorthernFrogger  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are just Exo Terra or ZooMed tanks, not custom built

    Lighting UV-A ? UV-B

    • @NorthernFrogger
      @NorthernFrogger  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dart frogs don't need UV light. I just use daylight spectrum (5000-6500K) bulbs for the plants.
