Why couldn't we get Monster Hunter generations ultimate and dragon quest xi localized too this would've been the perfect send off but at least we got shin megami tensei strange journey redux, Odyssey Nexus, and persona Q2. But I still hope that monster Hunter generations ultimate and dragon quest xi are released on 3ds.

Just appreciate, that we're getting a sequel to a spin off game, which is a reskin of Etrian Odyssey.
If they want to make a Persona Q Game on the Switch, they have to make a new Etrian Odyssey engine, that would work on the switch

Having a regular deck of playing cards in the special edition seems like a missed opportunity of making a Tarot deck with the character portraits
EDIT 2/5/19: I'm dumb and too new of a Persona fan because I just found out that the first Persona Q special edition came with a set of Tarot Cards. I guess it would have been redundant if they did the same thing.

Don't all tarot cards have a poker equivalent? Fool is one of the jokers, magician the other, and so on? If you get the poker deck you could just grab the major arcana cards and have a tarto deck

PQ was a hidden gem for me. It got me into P4; its spinoffs; and P5.
P4G and P5 are now in my favorite games if all time. Easily.

@@luckykoopa9892 I actually started with strange journey here's my advice find the shin megami tensei game that interests you if it interests you then you will be invested in the story and won't get bored plus they're MANY shin megami tensei games to choose from.

@@hottacos2975 Its highly likely that Persona 5 is coming to the Switch, there isnt an exclusive contract for Persona games to go to Playstation they just show up on there because its the ideal console to go to for JRPG's. The SMT games did start on Nintendo but they also went to the Xbox and Playstation at one point and didnt sell well which is why theyre on Nintendo systems atm.

As much as I wanted this game, lack of English dialogue puts me off. Considering persona is all about bonds and the witty exchanges, that's where the humour comes from too. It's a shame as throwing some of the greatest characters together could have made for a greater experience than the first.

@@jr5687 ATLUS have confirmed with IGN as it's listed on their website, multiple sources have also confirmed that PQ2 isn't getting a dub. It's due to financial reasons

@@cliffturbo2146 PQ2 sold poorly in Japan due to it being on a slightly older console (sale figures online) so the best method was to just sub the entire game and release it over here, as dubbing it would be expensive due to the big cast

Ya know what would be cool? If they made a persona Q3 but it's with the cast of persona one and 2. It would be pretty cool to see thier interactions with each other. The gameplay should be the original style, where you had that top down view. I actually really liked the PS1/PSP persona games. I like the new style the best, don't get me wrong, but the original style has a certain charm to it.
Whilst I do agree, for that to happen ATLUS would be presuming that most fans have played P1 & P2. Obviously there are fans out there who have, but only a small minority (compared to the others). Because of this, to get the maximum amount of money they can out of it, they'd have to remake P1 & 2. That'd be great, but would take forever.
Basically unfortunately that ain't gonna happen for a while... if at all.
I would love to see the cast of P1 in Persona Q1. Atlus always forget about them.
But somebody told me that the reason of absence of P1 and P2 was because the main writer was changed between P2 and P3. So in order to respect the original works, they never included both P1 and P2
@@rufure9294 I did not know that, that's an interesting fact. That would partly explain why we haven't seen any of the P1 or P2 cast in anything, aside from being recolors in persona 4: Dancing all night.

That1PenguinGuy Don’t get a 3DS just for this, you’re gonna be a little disappointed if you were just expecting another Persona game. It’s an Etrian Odyssey game with a Persona skin which means there’s barely anything to do besides dungeon crawling 24/7.

I already have a 3ds, I may get this game just to enjoy it, disappointingly this game did so poorly in Japan that they aren't considering a dub as they believe this game will do even worse outside of Japan

Okay, I only have so much money coming in, so I'll save up for Super Dragon Ball Heroes in April, then I'll ask a relative to gift me Persona Q2 as a graduation gift in June.

What bothers me isint that there will be no dub (maybe a lil) but the fact that it took them this long to bring it to the states just for it to be subbed.. If they were gonna do that then why did it take this long???

I’m curious on if they’ll recast Rise or P3’s FeMC, even though Laura Bailey returned as Rise for everything except P4D. I’m not too worried about Makoto Yuki or Yosuke, especially since I recall Yuri Lowenthal reprising both roles recently.

Notice how Akechi paints the place between your eyes red? It’s similar to how he shot Joker/Akira, resulting in red blood on his forehead leaking down between his eyes. Such a great detail.

Shouldn't matter that it is. They were willing to dub Dancing All Night when it was just a PSVita exclusive and that was a dying console and has less than 25% of the user base of the 3DS. AtlusUSA is just being lazy and trying to pull a fast one on us.

Because a lot of people identify these characters in relation to their English dub voices and have no interest and/or connection with the Japanese voices. Considering the fact that this game focuses heavily on character interactions and dialogue, it's not very surprising that a lot of people are "straight up noping just cuz it doesn't have a dub".

Henrique Melo He’s a Persona 5 hater, I have played every Persona game since 3, and despite some of its shortcomings, I still think 5 is my favorite. I don’t recommend Q and Q2 to newcomers, and I agree P4G is the best starting point IF you can play it, but its a pain to get a hold of and 5 is also amazing

They kinda introduce you everything you need to know from playing each game for a couple of hours. Not all for spoilers but still enjoyable. Just think it as a normal rpg with alot of characters, everything gets a nice introduction.

Funny enough according to the canon storyline of PQ2 when some of the Phantom Thieves and the Inaba Investigation Squad decide on what the IIS's codenames could be Yu's potential codename picked for him is Kingpin.

I'm not a sub-hater, but I'm too used to the English cast, so I'm looking forward to this less now. Of course I can just turn off voices. I also suppose I'll have to finish the first game, which I backlogged when it came out, and this will be backlogged indefinitely, so...I guess I'm mostly getting this for the deck of cards anyways.
