This father-son conflict was the core of this movie.. The audience can sympathise with both characters and their motivations.. it will be difficult to bring similar contrast in Indian 2.. if Indian 2 is just going to be a one dimensional story of a super human old man fighting against bunch of cliche villains, it’s only going to tarnish the legacy of original movie

Shankar would have done a better job if he had created a sequel set in the 90s, rather than 2024.. He should have created a sequel where the 86 year old Kamal Hassan tried to escape the cops, but falls in the end.. It would have been very easy to create a believable sequel, using 90s environment.. Instead, he created a mockery of the original..
