  • I've been getting a lot of questions about the Deluxe Air Fryer, so I thought I would show you some of my favorite things to do with mine. Starting with a fryer (whole cut up chicken) in the fryer basket, cooked rotisserie style! It's the most AMAZING thing ever!!! No more carving the rotisserie... now it's ready to serve the moment it comes out.

    This looks great! I’ve been using a rotisserie basket in my grill for years. One tips that makes it mush easier to clean afterwards is spraying it down with Pam before adding the meat. I just got my air fryer last week and your videos are so helpful. Thank you!!!

    So weird way to get that basket all shiny and new looking.... hot hot water and tide powder. Let soak. Then use a little non abrasive scrubby pad not steel wool! And watch the magic happen! Toss into dishwasher and viola like new! You’re welcome gals! ;)

    I did this tonight with chicken thighs and it is fabulous. Just be sure to turn on your fan/hood. My house was filled with smoke from the dripping fat burning off.

    I just made air fryer chicken thighs using the rack. I only had 4 thighs which worked well on one rack. I flipped them over at the 1/2 way mark.. airfry for 30 min. They were perfection! I'll have to try the basket next time.

    • @cathy3305
      @cathy3305 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdventuresinEverydayCooking haha I get it! I don't really think you have to flip it because i have done it without doing so and it was fine. I have also used two racks and switched them halfway through but the top rack gets too crispy (burnt). I will definitely try the basket next time!

    I have a similar airfryer (Instant Vortex Plus) and I just found your site for recipes… so far they all look delicious!! I have a similar basket and apparently dawn spray soap is a must when cleaning the basket.
    I also just bought the Pampered Chef skewers because I was told they fit with the air fryer (I think the skewers a slightly longer but someone said they skipped the ends and had no issues) so I’m super excited to get them to try them out!!
    Thanks again for all these recipes… I’ll be all set!!

    I can't wait to try this! Thank you! My hubby does a whole chicken in the air fryer, and it always turns out fabulous, but I didn't even think about using the basket for cut chicken.. .in fact, I have never used the basket that came with our air fryer, lol. We have never brushed oil on the chicken.....do you do this to keep it from sticking to the basket or just for a crispier skin?

    This has become my favourite way to fry a whole chicken. I have already scrubbed the life out of the drip tray so I just put a silicone mat, cut to size and shape, in the tray. A cleaning question for which I have not been able to get a proper reply: If you look up behind the heating element there is a growing accumulation of grease. It worries me, since grease + high heat = fire in my mind. Any suggestions here?

    I didn’t see you press the rotate button but I’m assuming since it was in the basket that you had it rotating?

    I don't have an exhaust fan in my kitchen. Would this be a problem? Some folks have mentioned smoke from dripping fat. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks.

    • @AdventuresinEverydayCooking
      @AdventuresinEverydayCooking  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I NEVER have smoke coming from my air fryer and we have no exhaust fan in our kitchen either (What's up with that, Texas??). So I think you'll be okay. If you are cooking a really fatty meal and are worried about it, you can purchase a second "tray" for the bottom and switch them out mid cycle. But I've literally never had a problem :)

      I have done both. Usually when I'm just not feeling all chefy like, I just buy a quartered chicken (or even just a bag of leg quarters). I still use my basket for this style of chicken... often!
