It’s sad that the Dr seems ashamed of his family, he doesn’t come from money but comes from a beautiful strong working family. As the oldest he should have much more respect for his father. I know when his sister marries a very wealthy guy ( her boss) after this brother marries she is so proud to have her father walk her down the isle and her boyfriend decorates the street where she lives with fairy lights and proposes to her there. There should never be shame from where you have come from only pride of what you have achieved.

Why would you consider dropping contact with your family in favour of another because they have money? Who make them gods? If anyone ask you to drop your family under any circumstance they are not worth being in your life, period. This drama is a miss for me.

I usually like Chinese drama but this one is really disappointing considering being a remake version. The performance of actors is quite depressing and emotional scenes feels forced when compared to Korean version of this drama.

I find that really interesting! When I heard this was a remake, I went to find the Korean original as I normally always prefer the 'source' material. But I could only get through a couple of episodes :-( the acting just seemed so over the top that it veered towards slapstick. I guess whichever one you watch first will always make the other seem odd.
