"How fast do fruit trees bear?" I get that question moderately often, and the answer is "it varies!" Some trees fruit faster than others, depending on species, climate, location, etc., However - if you follow the steps in this video, it will make fruit trees bear fruit much faster, no matter what type they are. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Water using a 5 gallon bucket with a very small seep hole, it should take several hours to empty. Do that once a week no matter how wet or dry. I've hardly lost a tree with this method...

Yes, that is a good idea as well. You can also put a dilute fertilizer in the water so nutrients are trickling into the root zone with the water.

The sound of that grass tearing was amazingly gratifying.
Mulch makes all the difference for many fruit trees. Especially bananas. I made the mistake of thinking half a bag of black cow manure in the planting hole of my bananas was enough to get fruit because I giving fertilizer. Wrong they were weak bananas. They want lots of mulch all year long. Now finally after many buckets of rotting leaves and grass they are looking very healthy.
Good to know @JanelleH I never mulched my bananas and they kept dying back, sprouting babies and dying again.
Yeah, bananas are notorious for being very heavy feeders. It's why I have shied away from growing them. Plus, I wouldn't know what to do with so many bananas at one time. Easier to just buy them at the store-they are cheap enough-and focus on fruit not readily available.
Spread some wood ashes around them and water frequently.
I planted my bananas 4ft. From my duck "pond" (concrete mixing pan) they seem to really enjoy it there

this was great info david my plum trees are 3 years old and have not grown at all.i got the grass part down but i do slack off on the water part.ill try better this year.
I have a 15 year old plum tree that my father in law neglected. This is the 3rd year that I've pruned/mulched/fed and watered heavily 2-3 times a week during the growing seasons. We have tons of fruit this year.

You can also dig a 2" PVC pipe down into the root area and pour water directly into that also.
Very helpful video. I have this problem with my Fuji apple tree. Competiting weeds and I was not fertilizing enough. So now I’m using granular and liquid fertilizer.

Aha! Thank you from me and the hazelnuts and chestnuts I planted two years ago that have barely grown in that time. Will attempt to subdue the pasture grass more severely.!
Use care around the hazel drip line if you want more hazels. They propagate by sending out root runners that sprout a few feet from the base of the trees.

I grow fruit trees right in lawn and for several with rosemary around them. For the lawn I put a dirt berm around to accumulate water. In a desert, the plants help to retain ground moisture, essential with an average summer humidity of 10%.

This is good to hear. We have some land and have given areas to several people to plant trees. I have babied mine right from the beginning (last year around about this time). I was criticised for giving mine water every day but they have grown way more than the others and have a huge amount of flowers. But the other still think they are right and can't understand why my trees are larger and more mature than theirs. Anyway after listening to this I feel validated! Good tips.

Calcium is one of the top nutrients to help increase trunk diameter.
Trees also prefer fungally dominated soils, bark or leaf mulch. Basically forest floor litter is ideal mulch. Fall foliar nitrogen help improve spring vigour.

Thank you for the info I guess I'm doing everything right except for the watering we're always in a drought
When I have any trees or large shrubs planted that I'm trying to get through a long hat summertime, I take a gallon of water out to the plant every day and just slowly pour it out. It forces me to check on the plant, take some time to really look at how it's doing and gives me a great excuse to be outside during the pretty times of day - generally mornings and late afternoons when it starts to cool off.
You han also try using a clay pot to help seep the water into the soil - just plant the pot alng the root line and fill it with water every day. Works like the buried clay structures that are so great for growing vegetables in New Mexico and Arizonia, just cheaper and less permananet.

Anothher good method to get rid of the grass around the trees is, put cardboard around them and mulch it with woodshavings. 🤷♂
Yes, I do that too. But would rather do it in fall. Now the trees are about to awaken so I want the grass instantly gone.

You're the sole content creator who recommended a wheel how. I bought a cheap metal one on Amazon and it is a true game changer.
Nope, he's not the only one. There's one channel in particular who simply cannot shut up about wheel hoes and wheel planters... because selling them is a big part of their business. ;) They also recommend drip tape (and all the accessories that go with it) for EVERYTHING, for the same reason.
I have nothing against either wheel hoes or drip tape, it's just sort of amusing that that certain channel makes it sound like you MUST have them or you're doomed :p

But it really seems like a rabbithole of buying a lot of new pumps and timers etc and fiddling with it a lot. Then at the end of the season or after a couple years, digging it all out and replacing it... Blech. I try to avoid that sort of thing whenever possible.
Also drip fertigation is very specifcally designed for use only with synthetic fertilizers - organics tend to clog the system up badly, even the manus will tell you that - and I prefer to use homemade organic fertilizers anyway.
First year they sleep. 2nd year they creep. 3rd they leap. I hope that mulch was charged. Mulch will absorb nitrogen before slowly releasing it over time. My fruit trees grow slower because of vigorous root stock that grows a huge amount of roots. A dwarf root stock will fruit sooner because they have a way smaller root system.

I never saw people growing trees with grass up to the trunk, until I moved to The Panhandle...
Had a couple complaints over spraying out tree wells to enhance the dripline and exchange of gases.
Taking a poly pipe and pounding it 3 feet down on the dripline is perfect for deep root feeding.
I'm a fan of MaxSea products..

I planted a nectarine tree last winter and mulched it with used goat bedding.. It took off and fruited heavy...had to remove the fruit because the tree was to small to support the weight of the fruit...

Hi! I’m new to the channel and I like it so far👍. We are getting our first fruit trees (apple) and I had a couple question. When you first plant the tree in your lawn, are you supposed to feed and mulch the tree? Or do you have to wait a while then much and feed the tree? I heard it’s not good to plant the tree in soil too much more nutrient rich than the native soil. Can you feed the tree over the mulch? Thank you!

*northerner here. ..what does this mean? Is it thicker? Thinner? They don't care down south (seems many northerners LOVE their grass) ?
@@frenchfryfarmer436 Northern grass grows better because there is dirt underneath, southern grass grows out of sand, usually causing it to make your yard look patchy. It will often have bare spots of sand. It grows tougher, bigger blades than northern grass because it has to withstand the heat.
Walking on northern grass feels like walking on salad, southern grass feels like you're walking on a pile of shredded paper lol

I would try to build up a thick layer of mulch. All the yard waste you can get, stack it up.
I made some swamp water in a 7 gallon bucket yesterday. Got weeds , wood chips, and leaves. Do you think 7 gallons should be enough? And when it is ready should I mix it with some water or pour it straight on the plant?
