Why did we set up with 2 central defensive midfielders and 4 across the back against Burnley at home? Why? Because he's gutless unless his job's on the line.

Another Great interview with Nick who talks good common sense. Get the players to come out like that every week & win or lose no west ham fans will complain. Games like last night are still too & far between & if we could have it more often they will ALL get behind Moyes.

Moyes has spent over £350m at West Ham, and plays 8 at the back at home to Burnley. The squad is there, the attacking talent is there, we just need a manager who is willing to let them off the leash a bit more instead of Kudos and Pacquetas heat maps being red around the edge of our own penalty box each week.

      8 at the back hey!?
      The first half against Burnley....
      Total shots: 4 - 4
      Possession: 49.5 - 50.5
      Pass success: 77 - 7&
Pretty even aside from a worldy and a mistake.
We had 56% possession from after their first goal but we were pretty rank on the ball in the first half. 4 players giving it away 3 times in 10 minimum. Too few players looking after the ball.
So, other than the fact we wasn’t particularly good with the ball, I don’t get all this we were “negative” and “sitting back” in the 1st half guff I keep reading and hearing. The stats seem to suggest otherwise.
      2nd half…..
      Total Shots: 19 - 7
      Possession: 55 - 45
      Pass Success: 68 - 58

Why did Moyes set up at home against Burnley as if he was playing away against Man City? What kiind of mentality is that? Only at half time 2-0 down did Moyes give our fantastic but totally demoralised players free reign to attack and they duly responded with a great second half. The players are fantastic but Moyes lets them down with his siege mentality.

  • @MrBillUp
    @MrBillUp 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

These good players you speak of will not be at the club next season as they cannot stand playing negative, shut up shop at all costs football. Defend for 80 minutes and hope you can nick a goal that seals the win. There is a reason West Ham fans want him out the door.
The performances have been woeful for a team that have spent £500 Million over 4 seasons. An aging squad on its last legs. No pace, players who cannot string two passes together. No recognised Striker as the manager doesn't know how to utilise one. The list goes on and on.
And the one thing I do agree with is get the club sold, and unleash the beast. A 70K seater stadium with passionate fans, the world is its oyster.

Not meant in any way to be provocative just disagreeing.
As for me Pulis' style is more like Allardace, Wilkinson and others of similar tired formations, tactics. Same ilk.
Not Moyes. David Moyes is far from as poor in any area of management in my view.
Odd thing I find is (after discounting the majority of age 25 and under's opinions. As modern football fans are more eager to worship awful role models like blatant super star cheats Neymar, Ronaldo, etc, etc or what colour boots are worn and so on) that there are so many of WHU who yearn for his departure / dismissal (very insulting)!
In replacement no doubt for another trophyless manager as they've done in the past.
Only you see, the last time a trophy winner, without any argument to anyone who is West Ham a hero - was sent packing. Disrespected. We detailed how many years without a trophy?
I was there when the fans of the club I love were to leave a lasting, nasty memory of a true great's last hours. Lyall out, Lyall out, rang out of that perfect and much loved football ground. For weeks on end, awful behaviour. RIP John.
I was disgusted and ashamed for them more then than now but to all those who do not understand the meaning of their spiteful, unintelligent words, Moyes won something!!!
These same fans have barely acknowledged him in that regards which is also lacking class.
I've been more games than most of you I'd imagine (season ticket since early 80's) and have been grateful to see another trophy lifted before I pass. So thanks David Moyes.
I do not like the tactics, nor lineups so often but we've been great as much as poor and won a meaningful trophy. To me anyway. He's been respectful as a West Ham Manager should be. Not like Allardace. Pardew.
To those slightly deluded, self important, expectant, obviously not managers in any industry or at least of people... We certainly are the biggest club to never win the league by far, greatest underachievers for sure, do deserve better, very frustrating, but at least Moyes won something. To discredit him now as it was only EConfL like bitter rival fans do so yet celebrate the players and of that night. To disregard him is lacking honesty, calibre, knowledge, maturity.
I wish you supported Chelsea or Tottenham as that's how they behave. I've know for years we have fools supporting us but now they've expanded.
If that means nothing to you I can only assume that you are without a shadow of a doubt an antogonist, a moron, similar to those back then with JL.
If that's the case and with society how it is now, the ignorant morons having multiplied themselves tenfold, breeding still...There is no hope and football despite my continual attendance has a little of my love.

You can see in our gameplay when going forward our flair/attacking players look to pass forward the realise they've been drilled to pass back and it kills off so many chances and oppertunities when you can clearly see there would be an attacking chance if we just went for it.
Moyes has spent close to half a billion and we are exactly where we deserve to be this isnt some fluke we've invested masses into our squad (Which funnily enough needa a rebuild as theyre the oldest and smallest in the league)
Statistically we are playing like a newly relegated side because of his small minded mentality and that will never change with him in charge.
This "careful what you wish for/cant see the problem" argument is just lazy journalism and if you actualy looked beneath the surface you'd see he's not performing well.
He rejected Julian Alvarez and Darwin Nunez as he didnt think we needed them and has openly admitted that becuase the board offered these and he refused them 😂

4th biggest club in London by a Country mile at best.
