Minks4All Completely agree! in fact I started off with 2 preloved items and completely enjoyed them. I've since purchased a few new items but I still turn to preloved as a first port of call. Why not save a few $ to put towards the next?? there's no shame. 😊
Minks4All your videos and Jerusha's were the first for me to watch as a guide to enter the luxury world.. i now have 9 designer handbags, 5 of them preloved and all my SLGs and bag charms are preloved and I think it was a good investment decision that I am not ashamed of.. so i really thank this community for giving us the right insight on making the best investment decisions..

I think "basic bitches" was a little bit rude and I don't like the expression, but she wasn't attacking anyone personally or putting women in general down. I own two Michael Kors items myself but even I agree that the brand has some of the most generic and shitty/copied designs ever, so "basic" is describing it accurately.

TheVixen113 I have a Michael Kors watch that I absolutely love. I spent good money on it too! I applaud everyone who saves up and buys what their heart desires. It's not about what other people think...it's how you feel about anything you buy. I might not like a Nissan Micra car but if someone buys it and loves it good for them! I hope nobody with MK feels it's not good enough. All brands copy each other and churn out tacky things, Chanel , LV, Hermes, Gucci included. But if you have worked and saved for anything....rock it with style! Besides all these luxury things are just things. It's not that deep.

I understand what you are saying about awful comments! I really don't understand why people feel uplifted by bringing others down however I think you also need to be careful what you say in your videos. I watched the blog with your mum towards the end you said "people with Michael Kors bags are basic bitches" I don't personally own Michael Kors but I wondered about the people watching that don't have as much money and struggled to save for a Michael Kors bag and how they might feel about that bag or themselves now. Just food for thought!

I totally agree with you love! There is nothing wrong with buying pre-loved.
I have to mention something though - there are people out there (they are called "Trolls") that would DELIBERATELY say something just to get a rise out of people. My husband and I play video games and this is very common in the gaming community. You don't see it so much elsewhere but it seems like that it what these people are doing - especially if they are re-making new accounts just to harass you. These people get off on getting you all riled up. The best thing you can do is not to give these people and their negativity any more of your precious time.

Fashionphile, and trusted sellers on ebay and Instagram have not only provided me with some pristine items, but also saved me loads of money. Preloved can be smart! My first chanel item was preloved. One of the reasons I really love you is because you are a preloved supporter. I am a mom of 4, I can't buy new. I have to buy preloved. I worried about it when I brought items to YT on my channel that are preloved because people can be critical. Thanks for speaking up on this!

When I saw this was a rant I was cautious but OH MY GOD - your comments on pre-loved bags (or really about pre-loved anything) were so relatable. It's a new market and I think the problem is that people who benefit from it (like those who buy the bags and then sell them months later) are the ones who sound like they're attacking you. I think however you can afford a bag is the way to go, and sometimes people barely use their bags before they sell them. The online fashion community used to be a lot more about DIY/high-low and I feel like lately it has gone towards the high side again.
As a luxury bag lover for me there are bags that are worth buying bnew (limited edition/hard-to-find/NM design) but not all, like for example a louis vuitton canvas i find that older versions are more worth it coz of #1 quality and #2 lots of savings $$$. I love buying preloved not just LV but mainly on Balenciaga brands... There's nothing wrong with it...its actually exciting and you're just being practical... Btw you're one of my TOP faves to watch! Preloaded is the best ! Why pay retail when you can get gorgeous pieces second hand ! Here in London we have a gorgeous shop Designer Exchange and they sell the most gorgeous pieces second hand and sometimes you can find almost new pieces , look at your STUNNING Metis 👌🏻You go Jerusha x

I started watching you many years ago. I did for a long time wish to enter the luxury purchasing market, but I have since reprioritized. Yes! Totally with you on your rant! I had someone comment on one of my videos just last week that "why would I make luxury item videos with my hair messy and no makeup and not dressed up because I look like a slob." What the hell gives people the right to say this crap? They don't know me/my life (I have a 4 year old so the chances of me getting into full makeup and dressed up to film a 15 minute bag inboxing are nil). It really irks me that instead of telling ppl like that exactly what I think of their garbage "opinion" I feel the need to be polite as it's a public comment on my channel. Thanks for speaking up :)

I'm sorry you are having to deal with mean people. Whoever is being hateful to you is so jealous they can't stand it, and that's it. You do a great job with your videos, and I'm glad that you show us pre-loved. About half of what I have is pre-loved, and I think I'm smart for buying that way. If I am having a not so great day, seeing your cheerful face and hearing your excitement over the bags can turn my day around. Keep on being yourself. You are fabulous!
Jerusha, it is sad and disturbing that people are so hateful.
I personally believe the entire point of a luxury investment purchase is it holds value and can be re-sold. If people did not buy pre-loved items, it would not be a sound investment. Would you take this approach in buying a used car, home or other major purchase...maybe some would not, but millions do.
It sounds to me like these people harassing you are mentally ill and in need of therapy.
Please do not let them discourage your joy and love of these beautiful pieces and sharing them with us.

I'm so glad you made this video with this rant and the video you made with your number one pick for pre loved item. I put myself through college and got really sick and was in and out of the hospital for several years and now I am paying off those loans and I just can't afford to buy brand new. I work hard and saved my money for some pre owned bags and have been saving up to buy my dream watch preloved. I was so proud of the couple of luxury pieces I have but when I read all of the hate it did make me second guess if my pieces are good enough and sometimes makes me feel like I should be embarrassed because I can't afford the brand new ones. I would love to buy from the boutique one day and I used to go into my boutique all of the time but I have recently stopped because I felt like I wasn't good enough to even go in to the boutique since I know I can't afford anything brand new. I even stopped carrying my preloved bags because I was embarrassed and ashamed that I couldn't afford new and would think that people would know I couldn't afford new. But after listening to your rant and your preloved video over and over to give me the courage I finally pulled the trigger and bought me dream rolex watch preloved and pulled out my bags that I Love so much and started using them again. I had been saving up for the watch for a long time and I was going to pull out of buying it because it was not new but you gave me the courage to not be ashamed and to go for it! I just want to thank you and just let you know that you standing up and saying it's okay to buy preloved and sticking up for your subbies is just truly amazing. And I just want you to know that you at least changed one life. My life for the better. I can't thank you enough and even now I am crying while writing this to you. I can't tell you enough how truly wonderful and inspiring you are and how thankful I am. So thank you so much! I Love You and your videos!

But after a while you do realize that items do depreciate in value so once you've had the thrill, why not buy pre-loved and save yourself $$$ and get something in excellent if not pristine condition!! I love your videos. There will always be people who will say hateful and nasty things to you because they are jealous probably. I admire your collection and eventhough its difficult sometimes to ignore haters, I would say its always better to focus on the positive comments and focus on the people who loves you. Delete the negative comments right away, don't even look at them and always remember to never let the negatives take away your sparkle. I'd like to share my pre-loved story.
Most of my LV bags are pre-loved because I really like vintage Vuitton. I feel that the materials and construction were better in the 80s-early 2000s. These pieces just *feel* better to me. I also like that I can breathe new life into an old piece, so to speak, by showing that old is just as chic as new.
My first LV was pre-loved, from Japan. I didn't even know the same of the bag I wanted: I just saw a picture of it on a fashion blogger's site, and really liked the shape and size. It was a Multipli Cite GM in monogram, and I still have it. At the time, I didn't know a lot about the brand so I went research-crazy. I think it was about this time that I discovered your channel, about 4-5 years ago. Counterfitting has always been a problem in the luxury world, so I researched everything I could about the proper look and feel of the bags, canvas, leather, etc.
My point here is that if it wasn't for pre-owned, I wouldn't have the appreciation for the brand that I do today, as the significance in buying new just isn't the same as when you're picking over every little detail of a pre-loved item. I love my new items, of course, but I feel really personally invested in my pre-loved LV and, now, Chanel handbags.
So for any of you out there who may doubt your decision to buy pre-loved: don't. There's something very noble about taking something old and making it new and loved again. If you want it, do it. Spend the time, get personally invested, and love what you buy.

Who cares what these people think. If you want a bag and it's new; get it. If you want a bag and it's second hand; get it. It's just an item. It doesn't matter in the whole scheme of things. A grown person can not be so shallow that they'd care about what a stranger things about a purchase of a used luxury item. Ignore these people. Once you give them attention, they love it and they'll thrive on it.

Hi Jerusha, I love you and watch every single video, however I don't usually leave comments. I just recently purchased my first ever Louis Vuitton bag (An old model petite Noe) from Fashionphile and I absolutely adore it. The bag is from 1988, and though it may not be in immaculate condition, she is perfect to me and the only "first" luxury bag I will ever have. I applaud you for standing up to nasty comments and supporting pre-loved. After all, we love our luxury for its quality, craftsmanship, and longevity so I feel that every luxury piece new or old that we acquire should be worn with the same amount of pride.
All that matters is you are a beautiful being, with a beautiful family, living a beautiful life! Those negative individuals lead a life without substance or meaning so they live with hatred in their hearts. I love your videos. Big shout out for pre-loved!!!! I was very lucky and found a Chanel Wallet on a chain for a fraction of the cost. Its lamb skin and black with gold hardware. I absolutely love it and love the fact it's been on some other adventures. It's great to have vintage and helps the environment! Still love luxury but care about other stuff too.

And regarding preloved items...that, to me, is the smart way to purchase luxury. You can find items in like new condition without the new price! Win-win! I also purchase antiques, and I have some people make comments that antique items are "gross". I just don't understand that mentality, and furthermore don't care! Keep being you and enjoy! 😘
You are the sole reason I got in to Louis Vuitton- I started watching your videos 3-4 years ago. I have 4 Vuitton bags- ALL PRE LOVED. Because if Jerusha isn't too good for pre loved, neither am I. In fact all of my collection is pre-loved, except for my Sarah wallet and empriente cles I bought new from the store as my birthday present to my self. Personally, I don't care how you spend your money, if you buy new or preloved. I think the major issue that some people have with you, is that it seems that you buy things just to have content and then returns the items.
Also that comment that you and your mom made about Michael Kors was bit offensive to those followers that can only afford MK. You shouldn't say those things.
Spot on rant! I have always saved my money to buy luxury items. However, I've also bought pre-loved. I bought my Pochette Metis, pre-loved in the time between the old style and the new one, when it couldn't be found in the stores. In absolutely perfect condition. I have my eyes on another pre-loved that's no longer produced. I just have to find the right one.
Females should be lifting each other up. We don't all have to agree about everything, but we should support each other. Our differences is what makes the world so very interesting.

Buying preloved is better for the environment, not to mention, your money stretches farther. For what some people spend on Michael Kors, I can buy Gucci (nothing against MK, it's just not my style)

Jerusha! I have been watching you since 2 or 3 years ago :) and I must say that I love all of your vlogs! I had my second baby last year too, His name is Leo and he is 6 months old... loved watching you during my pregnancy... now that I see Massi is like if I was seeing my baby Leo too! He is adorable! I agree, nothing wrong with preloved. However, buyer. Beware-make sure you do your homework. Many resale sites list products for more than retail. If you are happy with the product and the price-go for it and love your piece.
