I’m ex military, disabled and living life without the ability to work a job like a normal person on a daily basis has been difficult these last two years. Finally having a running vehicle has been a blessing. I watch a lot of Hoonigan vids and even though I’ve lost all my muscle, I try to work on vehicles all I can. For me personally, I went through a phase of depression on my first semester of college. It was winter, the days were short and I was stuck at home during this time. I would listen to this mix daily, like religiously. To distract my mind, I just worked. I use to work with this girl, she was amazing. We laughed together, went out to eat, something small like a fast food joint. It was the thought that mattered. Anyways, I thought I liked her, but my insecurities got the best of me and I knew I was never gonna have something with her. I then found out she was taken already. Couple months after being hired where I worked, she had to move away and I haven't seen her since then. I listen to this mix and remember all the good times we had even though they were short lived. I know she's taken, but I wonder if she thinks or remembers me.
I like to think that the moments we are thinking of others are often the times they are thinking of us. Like when you go to text someone you've been thinking about and they text you at that same moment. There's always a connection to the people we know and those we knew, you just have to have a genuine sense of perspective to feel it. It's usually fleeting, but when it happens you know. Eh, just my two cents. Anyway, don't ever think you're alone. Lots of us go through the same headaches and heartaches. I'm finally finishing my Associate's after far longer than two years and with a hell of a future in mind, and that road entailed a lot of messed up situations and states of mind, but as I look back I regret letting my feelings get the best of me so often. Hell, I regret letting certain people take up so much of my time, but that's on me. I do pretty well in class and work when I'm motivated and mindful, but everything takes a shit as soon as I let depression and anxiety get the best of me. Find that motivation and inspiration to stick it out and to keep your head in the game, bud. You will not regret it. Time is fleeting, as are the people we come across. When the one for you comes they'll come. This girl may have been a blessing and a beloved memory, but to paraphrase Alan Watts, you can't force the things around you and expect them to work. In times of self-perception, remember that you're here for you until someone truly needs you.

Update: she moved away, has a kid and is living her best life. As for me, I’m focusing on achieving my goals i.e finish school, exercising, and doing my best to get better in every way possible. Day 13: Society has broken down around us. People litter the ground with gloves and my state's governor is stealing ventilator's for the bigger city in my state. People wear masks like bandits and are scared to make eye contact, let alone be in the same room with each other. Stay in your homes with your head between your knees and pray to your God for forgiveness from this plague! Just kidding. Well, kind of. The ventilator thing and glove thing is true and fucked up.. but this mix helps me and the mental health clients I work with to relax when we chat at my job so I can't complain Stay positive everyone!! And pick up your gloves please!

I love that raccoon (or is he a tanuki?). I like that he features in so many of these. It's almost like meeting a friend. The paw print spotlight is cute, too. The whole atmosphere of the image and animation you do for these is just wonderful. There is a strong visual component to this genre (as well as synthwave and vaporware) that is quite complimentary. It helps set a scene, even a story that is then expounded upon or suggested by the music. It's like album covers back in the old days. You should do one of this raccoon dude going home on the train at night, especially if it's on an elevated section so there's a good view. Maybe it would be after this adventure to do some art on a hidden rooftop. Keep doing these! I love 'em!

Here's a little story I wrote when listening to this song, as in the title, it gave me a city vibe, so here it is: You sit in the taxi, plugging in your earphones to chillhops awesome lofi hip hop remix, you stare out the window, it is night time, but the city lights make it bright. The car keeps moving while all the lights blur into a blob of colour, you close your eyes and take a deep breath, 'I can do it' you thought... The taxi man stops at the place you are going too, a restaurant you haven't been to in years, you pay the taxi driver and thank him, then you slowly walk across the zebra crossing. The doors of the restaurant are shining, you slowly open it, and a waiter comes and greets you. 'fancy as always' you thought. You took off your earphones while pausing the music, 'reservation?' he asked, you nodded, 'under the name?' 'Anna' you quickly said, 'shes my friend, I'm pretty sure shes here already.' The waiter nodded and brang you to the table, you felt a sudden fear. You saw Anna, and she saw you, the waiter left and you slowly sat down...'hi...' you muttered, while looking away...she felt nervous too, 'thank-you for coming' she said. Things were weird between you and her after the fight...you guys were best friends then suddenly never talked...'so...want to talk about what happened?' Anna said softly, looking at your face. You glanced at her, 'I'm sorry!' you said, then the restaurant started playing the same song as what you were listening too, you felt relaxed, finally, saying sorry. Anna said sorry too, it took awhile but you two started to talk, after the dinner, that has went so fast, you guys were already friendly, 'I think it's time to go' You said, Anna nodded, 'who pays?', then you had a memory where whenever you guys went out to eat, one of you payed but the other must give something in return, 'I'll pay' you said, 'whats the catch?' she said. 'Only if I get my one and only best friend back...' she smiled and hugged you, 'gladly.'

I love that raccoon (or is he a tanuki?). I like that he features in so many of these. It's almost like meeting a friend. The paw print spotlight is cute, too. The whole atmosphere of the image and animation you do for these is just wonderful. There is a strong visual component to this genre (as well as synthwave and vaporware) that is quite complimentary. It helps set a scene, even a story that is then expounded upon or suggested by the music. It's like album covers back in the old days. You should do one of this raccoon dude going home on the train at night, especially if it's on an elevated section so there's a good view. Maybe it would be after this adventure to do some art on a hidden rooftop. Keep doing these! I love 'em!

Here's a little story I wrote when listening to this song, as in the title, it gave me a city vibe, so here it is:
You sit in the taxi, plugging in your earphones to chillhops awesome lofi hip hop remix, you stare out the window, it is night time, but the city lights make it bright. The car keeps moving while all the lights blur into a blob of colour, you close your eyes and take a deep breath, 'I can do it' you thought...
The taxi man stops at the place you are going too, a restaurant you haven't been to in years, you pay the taxi driver and thank him, then you slowly walk across the zebra crossing.
The doors of the restaurant are shining, you slowly open it, and a waiter comes and greets you. 'fancy as always' you thought. You took off your earphones while pausing the music, 'reservation?' he asked, you nodded, 'under the name?' 'Anna' you quickly said, 'shes my friend, I'm pretty sure shes here already.' The waiter nodded and brang you to the table, you felt a sudden fear.
You saw Anna, and she saw you, the waiter left and you slowly sat down...'hi...' you muttered, while looking away...she felt nervous too, 'thank-you for coming' she said. Things were weird between you and her after the fight...you guys were best friends then suddenly never talked...'so...want to talk about what happened?' Anna said softly, looking at your face. You glanced at her, 'I'm sorry!' you said, then the restaurant started playing the same song as what you were listening too, you felt relaxed, finally, saying sorry.
Anna said sorry too, it took awhile but you two started to talk, after the dinner, that has went so fast, you guys were already friendly, 'I think it's time to go' You said, Anna nodded, 'who pays?', then you had a memory where whenever you guys went out to eat, one of you payed but the other must give something in return, 'I'll pay' you said, 'whats the catch?' she said.
'Only if I get my one and only best friend back...'
she smiled and hugged you, 'gladly.'
