The guys were very underated ..this is an incredible piece of music . Along with melancholy man, the actor, and legend of the mind...incredible songs ,, musical geniuses
Mike Pinder was about 28 years old when he wrote these perennial lyrics. Pure genius. 51 years later, the lyrics are still mesmerizing and relevant, as well as the music. Countless of us Boomers have now lived the years and remember this path of our lives that he sang about. "Each day has its always. A look down life's hallways, doorways, to lead you there."
This is the music that got me through a Pentecostal Bible College down in Houston, Texas in the mid-70’s. During those confusing Bible teachings, the album (This is The Moody Blues) is the one my Soul tuned into, and my Soul Journeys onward until it decides it has had enough. God Blessed that band of their beautiful songs.
As a fan of both rock and classical music, this really does tick all the boxes. Every bit as dramatic and intricate as any classical music, it perfectly showcases the genius of Mike Pinder. A true masterpiece and worthy of being right up there with music being taught at school and colleges. Nothing needs to be added and nothing taken away. Pure perfection.
I remember listening to this and everything on the Threshold of a Dream when I was 9 or 10, especially when I was upset with something or the world in general.
A classic psychedelic song of the time and incredible words to live by... Scatter good seeds in the fields ...Life’s ours for the making, Eternity’s waiting , waiting for you and me . Simple words but very impactful and spiritual
A very nice piece of musical genius from The Moody Blues. My Dad was the biggest fan, so I grew up listening to many of their albums and became a fan myself.
The fact this is in 2017 TV show is a testament to its timelessness. When I heard it, I knew it was the Moody Blues due to their unique style, but didn't recognize the song. Excellent music!
I can not believe that over the course of 4 1/2 years this wonderful music video has only garnered 16,000 views. I believe that I can say honestly that I have never seen a better thought out, produced or edited video on YT; and I have been watching videos on YT for a very long time. Excellent video of maybe my all-time favorite Moodies song.
Progtastic Productions it's sort of a hidden song of theirs, meaning, they use it almost as an interlude to other songs. Just saying, that may be the reason it's not more popular
not surprising really... truth "seekers" are a rare bunch...most of the population are" LOST...in a lost World" aren't you glad your AWAKE and on the right track? Namaste.
Now you know how nice it feels, Scatter good seed in the fields. Life's ours for the making, Eternity's waiting, waiting, For you and me. Now you know that you are real, Show your friends that you and me Belong to the same world, Turned on to the same word, Have you heard? Have you heard?
My late brother Johns favourite Threshold track he loved it and bought me the album and bought Lost Chord for hisself he loved the flutes on this great instrumental I love it too especially the great piano work from them the Moody Blues composed a lot of great music scores we don’t even know of some Justin did with Rick Wakeman
My first love, who committed suicide, chose this song for his funeral. We loved listening to this album. I still, after 27 years, don’t know what he was trying to tell me. It is still so hard to listen to this song.
i was 5 years old , when my dad built a hi- fi, {[people did back then} . he put on , every good boy deserves a favor. i felt like id just been born , into another universe.,still does now.
I'm so awed by this video! The best I've seen in a looonnnnnnnnng time! I've been a MB fan since the 60s and you have done justice to these cuts....great job! ♥♥
Saw him play this masterpiece twice. From On the Threshold of a Dream. After Mike left, it was never the same group that made the sounds of the first 8 albums and especially Days through Every Good Boy. Sure, the three left do some great stuff, but it is missing the male voices of Mike and Ray and their expert musicianship that was such a big part of the experience from the Go Now beginning to coming down with 7th Sojourn. Mike's mellotron finesse is the addition to the 4 man harmony vocals that was the invention of symphonic rock, a sound not heard before, not really duplicated, and of the highest caliber. Lyrics with heavy meaning, sung with feeling, the five guys making something far bigger than themselves.
I’m not sure one can “almost” astrally project, but as a young person I used to wholeheartedly wish I could do it, and listening to The Moody Blues’ music increased that desire exponentially.
Wow!! Awesome production right there!! You did a great job on this video and...well, the Moody Blues song is perfect!! The scenes are just spectacular!! Where did you get those!! Really super quality video!! I sure enjoyed it!! Robert
After I bought this album (vinyl) when it first came out (obviously, a long time ago), I made a continuous recording of the last 19 seconds of this song which lasted for the length of a cassette tape (60 minutes, if I recall) and I would just let it play continuously in the background. The only word is "ethereal".
Me too! I couldn't remember the album this song was from but I knew right away that it was The Moody Blues and one of my favorites. Nice to know I'm not the only Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fan.
Interesting how a lot of subtleties of this very complex medley are brought up a little bit in this mix. Such as the lower end Mellotron parts. A few versions have the triangle played, and some do not.
obviously in this great track they tried to find some atmosphere from "a day in a life", with those drums answering the voice; then a bit of pink floyd and king crinsom! great memories

Beautiful, classic moody blues. Awesome

Wow, that puts it in perspective. How brilliant at 28.

I just love this song written by Mike Pinder.
I never tire of the Moodies...! Saw them a few years back, front row, center stage ~ Incredible !
RIP, Mike. You were such a HUGE part of the soul of the group.

"Eternity's waiting, waiting for you and me....."
Timeless musical classic.

Visually stunning and captivating.....beyond words. Thanks so much for this.
I always imagined this would be good music to be born to...

Simply perfect !!!
I almost astral projected to this song once when I was younger.
I’m not sure one can “almost” astrally project, but as a young person I used to wholeheartedly wish I could do it, and listening to The Moody Blues’ music increased that desire exponentially.
Just brilliant! Thank you!
that was ":award winning" amazing. WOW
Love this
Outstanding!! Fantastic job!
This is awesome.
Excellent video!!!
Have to say this is so good it’s almost like it’s a section of 2001 Space Odyssey that they couldn’t fit into the final production.
One of the best videos I've seen on youtube.
Very COOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
Masterpiece
Incredible

I did that with the Beatles rain.. continuous loop of Paul's bass and Ringo's drumming
I'm here because of the 'MARVEL's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'
because 5ta season is on space?

Same. I'm watching the episode now

The middle movement is The Voyage not The Voyager.
Hey, Justin. Hope you enjoy your stay while you're traveling through.
Andre R. Newcomb Hey thanks Andre!
I agree, the only better one was the night I ate some orange barrel acid and listened to every moodys song out at the time(19740
PS Beautiful videowork!!!

Awesome! The video takes me way out there LOL! Part 2 is actually called "The Voyage" btw.
POST PROG PROG ! THE BEST !
It’s more like pre-prog, from 1969.
obviously in this great track they tried to find some atmosphere from "a day in a life", with those drums answering the voice; then a bit of pink floyd and king crinsom! great memories
Feels like I'm at the Hayden Planetarium
