Hi.. love your clip. Thank you for chosing Singapore. Remember ... love your parents as it is not easy to sent u here. Do video call them occasionally... u nvr know that a call mean so much to them. Trust me. And dun forget to tell them 'Papi n mummy I love you both' b4 they r no longer here. I used to tell my parent but no longer. Coz they have passed on. Greetings from a Singaporean.
Welcome to Sg & make Sg ur home. May God bless u & your future. Thank u for reminding everyone that parental love is irreplaceable. The Chinese saying 天下父母心comes alive in this clip. Parents will want their kids to have a better live & future than their own. This Asian culture & trait needs to be kept alive for all generations. Let’s be grateful and thankful for our parents’ sacrificial love even if it’s hard love at times.
It is a fact that all parents want a better future for their children. No parent take joy from leaving.a.chld behind but at the same time, it's difficult for a child to understand as evidenced by her emotional demeanor while recalling the moment she witnessed her parents walking away. Thankfully she had extended family here to rely on for support. Childhood trauma doesn't go away as one becomes an adult, people just get better at boxing their emotions and shelving it aside. The thing that makes us emotional and vulnerable, on the flip side also makes us strong & resilient. If anyone makes an issue about your origin, always remember that every Singaporean has roots somewhere else in the world. Welcome to the family!
I’m so glad you understand and appreciate your parents’ sacrifice. It’s inevitable the closeness is not quite there now. ESP because of language issue. Your efforts to stay in touch must be comforting to them!
Thank you for sharing your bitter sweet and loneliness w/o your parents with u. Hope u will find time & visit them every yr. Remember to say “U LOVE “them whenever u see them.
For those who comment indonesia people arexrich..means u dont know anythihg..same as not all sporean rich ..it goes via berca in here. Im indonesian. Im chinese and im not rich. No parents want to send their daughter like this if they are rich. They can just simply do sumthing in indonesia then.
