As a musician, and a fan of this full catalog, I would personally choose Citizen Erased if you want some sick guitar and bass. One of the earliest tracks and I find it to be quite aggressive lyrically. People don't realize how dark Muse really is. A lot of folks just listen to the guitar and effects, and I would say "listen to the content". I am an old school metalhead that ignored Muse early on, but Stockholm Syndrome is where I went down the rabbit hole with these guys as well (a long time ago). Enjoy your journey, they are that f'ing brilliant!!! peace
Going to continue going through more of your requests and I will be doing reactions to live versions of any of the tracks that are on their two live records.
Muse were a heavy rock band, centred on guitar and bass with heavy distortion, long before they ever picked up a synth. If you ever hear say someone say "Muse aren't what they were" this is what they mean. I like the new stuff (everything they've released since 2006/7), but I LOVE the old stuff. Sounds like you're on board, so welcome!
Citizen Erased is the masterpiece. Metal riff, beautiful piano, great vocals, progressive elements, dynamics, etc. Song is from 2001 but it was remixed recently by the band. You won't regret if you listen to it.
You should check out 'Space Dementia' from the 'Hullabaloo' live album. It showcases a different side of Muse which you may not expect while still being rather "heavy"
New Born Live at Wembley 2007 is peak Muse, a performance that really showcases their diversity. Citizen Erased, the live Hullabaloo version is also a must
If you want to go more indie, I would suggest reacting to Uno from their first album, for a live version you can choose the Live version called "Live from Astoria". The song is from 1999 and therefore also very experimental
I can only see suggestion for their singles. What about the album tracks, some are better than the singles. My personal favorite is from their first album... the title track Showbizz...
Uprising on The resistance and Madness was on The 2nd Law, albums both of which while they had their moments, you would be hard pressed to describe as heavy albums, both were quite experimental (every muse album is to some extent) and the singles from the 2nd law and even Drones which was a heavier album, were closer to pop than hard rock for the most part, and that continued with simulation therapy, so i get why Muse heavier side is something maybe you might not of realized they had. Truthfully, they have always had a pop/indie side to them, but also a rock side to them too (which in their live shows you can see they love playing those songs). I think they never wanted to fit a genre and so always experimented - the middle albums may be considered more experiments than having a cohesive sound, and for people who followed muse from the early years, the new single is like a return to those heavier, raw tracks like Dead Stars (though with the Srings i'm also reminded of Supremancy from the 2nd law). A bunch of stuff from Origins of Symmetry, Absolutions and Black Holes and Revelations will get recommended, probably Live at Glastonbury/Wembly/Rome/The Mayan so I'm going suggest a few not on those albums, something older and something newer: - Showbiz, the Title track for their opening album (1999) is well worth checking out - The album version is cool, the performance from Le Zenith is great, though the camera work is choppy, but this version from 2017 is pretty cool too, with a bonus Isolated System to open with th-cam.com/video/BEGlN2KE4fs/w-d-xo.html, the album is perhaps a bit more indie, but opening track Sunburn is cool and a b-side for the single was Yes Please which was heavier than anything on the opening album and one of my favorite tracks for a while. I couldn't see a good version to link though. - The Handler, here from Glastonbury 2016 th-cam.com/video/BEGlN2KE4fs/w-d-xo.html is the pick of the bunch on the album Drones (2015) which is a return to a more rock album for them see also - Psycho (based on a riff they used to use on the end of some other songs when they played them live, awesome riff, shame about cringeworthy lyrics), Reapers, The Globalist has a heavy mid section (it's kind of Drones answer to The Exogeneis Synphony from The Resistance) - All of those are also worth looking up
1990s Muse: grunge
2000s Muse: hard rock, prog rock
2010s Muse: symphonic rock, electronic
Curious where you'd fit 2020s so far

Massive fan of Citizen Erased. For me, best Muse song and top10 all time best rock songs.
Thank you! Going to check out Citizen Erased soon.

The small print is a very underrated song from the absolution album
Added to the list to check out!
Fury is a bonus track from absolution and is also very good
They were much more raw in their beginning. The hangst was real deep when they were younger
Hysteria! They have the sickest bassline
Hysteria reaction is coming soon!
I am a 65 year old metal head. I like lots of different types. I discovered Muse 2 1/2 years ago and the are sooooooooo Fantastic and very underated
Nice. From Hullabaloo: Citizen Erased, Micro Cuts, Muscle Museum
From Haarp Wembley: New born, Stockholm Syndrome, Butterflies and hurricanes
All of those are on my list, so stay tuned!
It always kind of upset me that people now know muse for post BH&R albums. its really nice seeing people discover their prime.

@@gmetzgermusic Great! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Definitely add 'New Born' to the list. Live at Glastonbury 2004 may be the best version out there. Live at Wembley 2007 (HAARP) is awesome too.
Already on the list! 👍

It showcases a different side of Muse which you may not expect while still being rather "heavy"
Completely agree - I suggest the Pink-Pop live version of this.
If you use speakers the Pinkpop version of Space Dementia sounds better
Added it to the list of things to check out!
Yeah, a headbanger song with just drums, bass and piano. Love Space Dimentia!

Showbiz from album called Showbiz. thx
I’ll be doing that one soon.
Listen to Futurism from Origin of Symmetry RemiXX.
Going to check out Futurism, don’t know whether I’ll do the remix. Never been a massive fan of remixes myself.
@@gmetzgermusic remix is used loosely, it's more of a remastering, it makes the percussion a little clearer and just makes the mix a bit more dynamic
Definitely check out hyper music! Imo it's their heaviest! Oh and plug in baby, that one's not heavy it's just my favorite!
Added to the list!
Check this song on the Hullabaloo concert. It's darker and also easier for playing in a band
Their studio stuff is awesome...but live...different world
Yeah I’d just figured check out studio versions of the songs for first listens. I go check out live versions on my own time afterwards.
I can only see suggestion for their singles. What about the album tracks, some are better than the singles.

Wow! Thanks for this. Will be checking out those tracks.
make a double reaction, because Citizen erased continue with micro cuts(song that have a banger riff)
Probably will do 2 videos, but will do those soon.
React to Citizen Erased Glastonbury 2004, buen video.
I’ll be doing Citizen Erased soon!
Great! It would be great if you dig into a Muse journey and check all Muse albums from first decade
Definitely going to be doing a lot of Muse reactions coming up.
@@gmetzgermusic really good to hear that!
Citizen Erased please!
Coming soon!
watch muse survival it sounds like queen with 7 string guitar
Added to the list to check out!
@@gmetzgermusic do the live version rome olympic stadium
Muse better live. Nice reaction tho!
Doing some live reactions coming up.
The studio version is really awful, the vocals especially 😅 Live is so much better!
Didn't think the studio version was that bad.
You are definitely in the minority xD
Dead Star (album) - Very very good
Dead Star (live) - Very very very good
@@iqbalmuhammad2920 Maybe. The vocals are really awful in the studio version, and it all just sounds very compressed :)
