Wspaniałe zachwycające!
Z innej beczki: W Kaliszu bo pewnie przeszli fachowcy z byle jak zarządzanej "Kalisji" Znałem menadżera z Kalisji, wyjątkowy , ale naprawdę wyjątkowy buc i arogant.... Aż się dziwiłem że taki trep zajął się tak subtelną branżą....

what kind of transparent varnish do you suggest for a 1965 Steinway D soundboard restoration?

Hello Alesandro, we do mat, satin or gloss finish....much depends on the customer's expectations and the style of the instrument's cabinet

@@dariuszmolka7454 thank you for answering. Just wonder what kind of varnish do you suggest, and how many coats do you do for the best sound. Some say that the ending result needs to be hard, some say the opposite. It's just confusing to me. In my thoughts I think that if the varnish is too thick and hard, the soundboard could not work that good. I'm just curious to know your opinion

We have been doing this part of soundboard restoration in the same way for over15 years: 3 layers of primer - each layer is sanded before the next varnishing.
For the last layer, we apply one and a half layers varnish - there is not too much of it but it has its depth. Many technicians think that we gave it very thick, which is not actually true.
