A key solution to closing the achievement gap and promoting equality in education lies in centralizing education under federal oversight, rather than leaving it to individual states. A nationalized curriculum would ensure that all students, regardless of geographic location, receive the same educational content at the same time. This approach, used successfully in other countries, would minimize disparities caused by relocation and ensure continuity in learning. By creating a standardized system, students would no longer face unequal opportunities or knowledge gaps, leading to a more equitable education for all.
I agree. I wish the US would review models that work in other countries and try to duplicate that. There are some things we don't do better than others. So I think that is a great idea to look at what other countries have done and try to implement some of those practices here.

Charter school is still part of public school. They still have to run they the government wants.
Please understand what Charter Schools were intended
Black students and minorities face the problem of being uneducated by AI system, which is the teacher's recommendations to adquire knowledge ignoring that those robots can hardly give an aceptable explanation of any computation result, much less of any historical event.
Well Kamala said she those middle class gmail president not those poor kids your talking about 👀
What a horrible conversation! Roland you did not have any Black public school teachers or administrators on this disturbing panel. How extremely disappointing this conversation was in terms of educating our youthCharter schools are not public schools. I KNOW you know that, you are a very astute man. but your audience doesn't. One clearly defining factor is how charter boards are selected and how has access to such positions of power. Let's not even discuss what happens with students with IEP's and 504's. Charter schools HAVE NOT out performed public schools, and Dr. Perry, who has been problematic for a very long time, failed to provide pertinent data. I DO have data that proves otherwise due to my doctoral research on this topic. I would NEVER tell a parent what do for their child when it comes to education. I just hope that people conduct very thorough research, not ME search, before making such decisions about the education of their children. As a Black teacher, who proudly and intentionally teaches at a public school, this was a slap to my face.
The man on the panel has a public charter school! It's not for profit. You must have missed that part of the conversation.
@@lindaschmidt8738 Again, if you know the history and tenets of charter schools, you would KNOW that they are not public schools. Please enlighten yourself and do the research. Watching a video and taking it for face value is not very productive when you don't understand history and context. Be well
So if they are not a for profit school then where do they get money to pay for the school teachers etc etc....
@@princedejour2686 LCFF funds that robs schools that truly serve ALL students, which charters don’t. Do your own research
@@princedejour2686...from public "per pupil funding".
Edit: and from philanthropy, I. E. donations and institutional giving.
The number 1 thing parents and the Black community can do to help Black children is the keep hip hop music and culture away from the children and the community. It’s the worst thing to happen to Black people next to the Black church!!!
And the kids do not need to be taught religion at school
Tired of all the bad news reports
Trump needs to stop with his none sense
Trumps has a tyrannical plan..Definitely not nonsense to him.A plan to destroy Amerikkk as it is today
Y’all don’t even see the equity in the Building up the Community that’s why y’all move to the suburbs then complain smh lol 😂 this is ridiculous
Teach to cultivate all 5 ways kids learn couped with accentuating the specific style of that student or child...just a thought to promote success and incorporation options
If people if people dropped religion things would be better by far. Less praying and more doing
Gotta have religion, David. It gives us hope and a sense of purpose. Want your brown / black child to have a good education, find an SDA church school in your area! Them folks will love on your children and instill excellence.
@@techmanfirst1989 you are so stupid it's not even funny LOL
Thank you to the two men who have gone above and beyond starting schools in our communities. We need more people lilke the two of you . Much Love ❤
