wow, I own Seiko 5 Automatic 6119 5450 added to my vintage collection, bought it in Iran in 1978 what a beauty. Still in perfect running condition. Now I can do a little research and hopefully find out what what she is worth. I'm considering selling it, hoping to make a good profit from it.

I have a financial advisor (trader) she grows my liquid assets and I reinvest the weekly payouts back into real estate and long-term ETFs like VOO and SCHD. I have also started acquiring some tech ETFs, including IITU and IUCM.
I got the ssk035 after buying a ssk003 and I absolutely love it. The watches are so high quality for the price and they look amazing. Seiko is really killing it with these watches.

Overrated. It would take approximately the strength of the hardlex being struck with a baseball bat on purpose to break. And even then, it’s not likely. Unless you are really that big of a fumbling idiot that bangs their wrist on something hard every other minute, sapphire is completely unnecessary.
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!MAMACOO watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
I have the blue one and I like it a lot. I don't like the bracelet but I swapped it for a nato and it looks very nice. Bezel is subtly fancy and I like having a cyclops more than I expected.
The design is great. Love the serrated bezel, love the crown at 4, love the size and colors, love the cyclops. Respect of course for creating the 4R movements. But the Miyota 9075 renders these Seiko 4R GMTs obsolete. If you can spend $500ish on one of these, you can stretch to $700ish for, say, a Zelos Thresher--sapphire, titanium throughout, micro-adjustable bracelet (not stamped either), 28800 bph instead of 21600 for much tighter accuracy, and a true (not caller) GMT. I enjoy looking at the Seiko 5s, but I wouldn't buy one.

I have the white dial. The bracelet is still pretty mediocre. I put it on a nato, and it's perfect. I have not been able to scratch the hardlex despite not babying this watch.

Why can't they do solid colour bezels, every 50/50 colour bezel just looks like a knock-off Rolex. Before watching I thought that black/green was all black and I was literally ready to buy it. If you are Rolex, two-colour bezels look gaudy. If you aren't, they look like cheap attempts at mimicry.

Yeah they exist in the $800+ range. This is their strategy to have multi tier product levels.
For real Islander Watches does sapphire at 1/2 the price.
