I've only been to around 30, but in no particular order my top 5 would be Cardinale Hall St. Helena Clos Pegase Heitz Darioush Was supposed to get to Far Niente on my last trip but there was a tremendous storm and they lost power. Was incredibly bummed.

Isn't the Arkenstone NVD a Napa Valley offering and not really Howell Mountain fruit? That's there only cab close to being under $100. The estate and Obsidian are excellent, but much higher price. Mayacamas is one of my personal favorites as is Duckhorn, but I prefer their three palms Merlot. Your audio would be much more listenable with an on body microphone. The acoustics in the room aren't favorable in my opinion. Cheers!
Cheers, Scott! Arkenstone is on top of Howell Mountain in Angwan. That is Napa. All their vineyards are right there around the winery. Not a big mic fan, but perhaps I give it a try. Thanks
@@decantswithd I know exactly where they are located having been there myself several times. And yes, Angwin is in the overall Napa AVA, but I can guarantee you 100% that if the grapes for that NV were 75% from Howell Mountain, they would mark it as such and charge much more per bottle. There are several other specific AVA wineries that source grapes from other locations in Napa and thus are required by law to mark the grapes with the more generic NV AVA. You can compare neighbors like Robert Craig, Cade, and Dunn. They all make "second" wines carrying the generic Napa Valley designation even though their estates are on Howell Mountain.
Nice selection 👍 love Duckhorn. The Three Palms is such a great wine for special occasions, and the standard Napa valley merlot is so good for the $30-40 range. I was surprised that there were no Rutherford or SLD wineries here but I’m sure it’s difficult to only choose 5 out of the whole valley.
You got that right Kyuun! Plus the location and the architecture of the vineyard factored in. And on location, the vineyards on the Mountain side have an advantage.

That decanter was one of my wife’s crystal vases that I reconfigured years ago. I unfortunately have no further info on it.
