I put the ruthless aggression era in the good but not great category, it's miles away better than anything in the past 15 years but it doesn't hold a candle to attitude era.
HHH refusing to work DLo is a shame. DLo was world champion material. Hunter was always in Vince’s ear and eventually married into the family to secure his spot. But as a wrestler, HHh was boring. Walked thru all his matches and zero charisma on the mic. DLo was a better wrestler than Hunter ever was. Shame what happened to Droz but DLo could have gone far without people like Hunter holding him down.
Triple H initially refused but eventually did the job when he lost the European title to D’Lo. Russo’s told this story before. Look at how Rock is beaming when joy when D’Lo won, I’m sure he broke character just to stick it to Hunter…lol

It did because all business metrics dropped & they went back to a lot of the cartoony gimmicks from the early 90’s.
